About
- Young India Challenge is the initiative to motivate Indian youth to think about Nation Building. This competition is open to school & college students.
- Every week a new topic will be given and participants need to submit an essay or cartoon strip or photographic story on the given topic to be a part of the contest.
- In the challenge 10 weekly contests will be organised between February 9, 2015 and April 19, 2015.
- The weekly winners will participate in the final round and their entries will be judged by top Industry Mentors i.e. CXOs of Freecharge.in, YourStory.com, Explara, InMobi, Commonfloor.

- Educational qualification: Under graduate College & University Students.
- Not Eligible
- Employees and close blood relatives of Gyan Lab or YourStory or any related organisation.
- Winners of weekly contest can participate in subsequent weekly contests but cannot be declared a winner second time.

Application form and Process
Young India Challenge Application Submission process
Candidates willing to participate need to register on yourstory.com and complete the submission process. The candidates have to register on Yourstory.com using your social network ids or any other email id.
- Categories: The contest will be under 2 categories:
- Essay Writing : 1200 words
- Poster/Carton Strip Designing/Photographic Story: Maximum 15 images as a part of Carton Strip Designing/Photographic Story with a caption of 500 words.
- Completing the Submission: Select the story and fill the related details such as class, email id, gender, phone number and click on ‘Save Submission’.
- A pop up box will appear on the screen, click ‘Submit This Story’ to finalize the submission.

Selection Process
Young India Challenge Selection Process
- Judging Panel: The entries of the finalists will be judged by Top Industry Mentors.
- Declaration of Result: Weekly winners will be notified by phone or email, while winners of the Final round will be declared on the website.
