YES! I am the CHANGE Social Film Making Challenge 2016

• Yes, Foundation invites people to participate in YES! I am the CHANGE Social Film Making Challenge. Yes, Foundation is the social development wing of the Yes Bank.
• YES! i am the CHANGE will have a special 101-Hour Social Photography Challenge, where individuals will narrate stories of change through 5 photographs on social causes.
• The participants need to be at least 13 years old and can enter in the competition individual or in the team. After registration, the participants will be sent theme of the film by SMS and then they are supposed to complete the script, production, filming &editing and complete the film within 101 hours.
• The winners will receive prizes worth Rs. 85 lakhs and the film be showcased in the film festival in Mumbai and after that in mini-film festivals all over India in order to spread awareness about the related issue.
• The Videos submitted in the Social Filmmaking Challenge will be used to create a pool of videos which can be used by NGO for the purpose of spreading awareness among the masses.

In 2015 this contest emerged as the World's Largest Social Film Making Challenge and it has seen participation from 5 Lakh individuals across 2500towns across the country.

• The categories and important dates related to the challenge are as follow:

• Last year YES! I am the CHANGE 101-Hour Social Filmmaking Challenge had emerged as the World’s Largest Social Film Movement with the participation of more than 1.52 lakh teams (over 5 lakh youth)

The Social Film Making Challenge has the following prizes to be offered to the entries selected as winners in various categories:

• Cash Prize: The winners of the challenge will receive cash prize worth Rs. 85 lakhs. The winners will be felicitated at an award ceremony to be organised at Mumbai.
• Showcase of their work: The best films will be showcased in 2 day Film Festival i.e January 30 and 31, 2016 in Mumbai and after that in mini film festival all across India to spread awareness about the social issues.

This year, to further social impact and engage more youth with social causes, YES! i am the CHANGE will also have a special 101-Hour Social Photostory Challenge in November-December, where individuals will narrate stories of change through 5 photographs on social causes.

The application process is as follows:

• Registration: The interested candidates are required to register online using the Registration Page available at the website. >> Click here to register for the Challenge.
• Time allotted for the Film Making: All the teams will be provided with registration number, Username and password. The candidates will receive 2 topics for the film and they can work on any one of them for 101 hours in order to complete the film.

Specifications of the Short Film: The Shortfilmneed to comply with the following criteria in order to be accepted for the challenge:

• Duration: The maximum duration of the film should be 3 minutes including credits and titles.
• Animation: Animation/Special Effects are allowed only if produced within the allotted film duration.
• Language/Subtitles: The candidates are free to choose any language for their film. Every film is to be uploaded with its English subtitles.
• Copyright material: The use of copyrighted images or music or any other material should be avoided in order to avoid copyright conflicts.
• Must have for the Film: The film should have the following things in the given order:
  • Black Screen for 5 second
  • Title of the film
  • Name of the subject the film is based on
  • City
  • Final Film
  • Credits

• Submission of the Film: The detailed instructions will be forwarded to the candidate after registration.

• All the submitted films will undergo rigorous screening process in order to shortlist films which meet all the criteria.
• The shortlisted films will be evaluated via different stages of evaluation and the top films will be sent to the jury for evaluation. The decision regarding the winners will be taken by the jury.
