Write India Season 2 - An Initiative by Times of India

Write India Season 2 has been announced by Times of India- a platform where 10 budding writers will be given a golden chance to get a book published in their name under the guidance and mentorship of India’s leading authors. There are 10 Writers! 10 Stories! 10 Winners!

• The Author of the Month: Manu Joseph

• Manu Joseph is the author of three stupendous books namely Serious Men, The Illicit Happiness of Other People and Miss Laila Armed and Dangerous.
  

• The contest will start 6 April 2018 and will end on 30 April 2018.

• It is a first short story contest of its kind. Not only the best writers will be awarded but also, they will be mentored, their stories will get published under the aegis of the author whose contest they win.
• The Contest would run for 10 months and each month the contest would open on 7th and end on 30th of the month.
  • Second round for Write India is opened for write-ups on 7 July 2017 and the contest ends on 30 April 2018.
  • The Eminent Author of the Month shares a passage to the story explains the context and sets the rules for completing the story. The writer has to follow everything and send the entry before the deadline.
• The Write India panel consists of 10 eminent authors from the country's bestselling lists

• Every month a 'Winner of the Month' will be awarded a prize that Times of India decides.
• The WINNERS will attend a unique Writers Camp and be mentored by authors from the distinguished panel of Times of India Group.
• The winning entries will also get published in the form of a book by Times Group Books, with a chapter each for the 10 winners selected by the Authors.

• Every month out of the 10 mentors The Writer of the Month will write the preface of a short story.

• Then it will be made open to all the aspiring writers and they will have to complete the story.

Registration Process: To receive all the regular updates about Write India all you are required is to REGISTER on the official website of Times of India.

UPCOMING AUTHORS

• Top Three Stories of the month will be selected by the panel of judges.
• The selected will then be guided by the MENTOR and will also select One Short Story as the Winning One.
• The selected budding writers will take part in a workshop with their mentors to further hone their writing skills.
• The 10 short stories written as part of Write India will finally culminate in a book, published by The Times of India Group.
