Terra Foundation Research Travel Grants to the United States

Terra Foundation Research Travel Grants are for those Doctoral, Post-Doctoral or Senior Scholars who are willing to go for research in topics concerning American Art and Visual Culture before 1980. These grants enable the Foreign Scholars to have access to the resources available within the United States only. About Terra Foundation                           

• Terra Foundation for American Art is a private nonprofit organisation, working to support American art exhibitions, projects, academic research, and publications worldwide.
• Terra Foundation promotes a greater understanding & appreciation of the cultural and artistic heritage of the United States through the acquisition, study, and display of works of American art.

The rewards will be awarded to the candidates in form of grants. These grants are for short-term travel and every year 9-13 grants are awarded to selected candidates. The details of the amount of grant are:

• Asia Scholars: Doctoral students from Asia will get the grant of up to $7,000 (Approx. INR 4.5 lakh).
• Postdoctoral and senior scholars: All postdoctoral and senior scholars will get the grant of up to $9,000 (Approx. INR 5.8 lakh).
• Up to 5 grants are offered specifically to the candidates belonging to Asia, Africa and South America.
