Tata Housing Scholarship for Meritorious Girl Students 2016-17

Tata Housing Scholarship for Meritorious Girl Students is a scholarship to promote technical and professional education amongst girls. Tata Housing conducts Tata Housing Scholarship for Meritorious Girl Students.

Eligibility: Tata Housing Scholarship for Meritorious Girl Students is a merit cum means based scholarship offered to girls enrolled in 2nd-year study of Civil Engineering/Architecture courses or in 1st year of MBA in Construction Project Management. The annual family income of the candidate needs to be less than Rs. 3 lakh to be eligible for the scholarship.

Benefit: The candidates selected for the scholarship will get reimbursement of expenses on admission fees, tuition fees etc. subjected to a maximum limit of Rs. 60,000. Applicants are required to submit proof of the expenses to get reimbursement.

Application: The applications for the scholarship are to be made offline and the application form can be downloaded from the official website. The last date to make application for the scholarship is December 20, 2016.

The girl students selected for the award of the scholarship will be entitled to the following benefits:

• Scholarship amount: The amount spent on admission fees, tuition fees, library fees, examination fees and purchase of books will be reimbursed up to a maximum limit of Rs. 60,000 on submission of appropriate proofs.
• In case a student is already being benefited by any scholarship only the difference between the expenditure and the scholarship amount will be reimbursed.
• Renewal: The scholarship will be renewed for those candidates who perform well in the succeeding years of their course and maintain an aggregate percentage of 60% marks.

The candidates interested in making application for the scholarship are required to make offline application. The details of the application process are as follow:

Required Documents: The candidates are required to complete the application form and attach the following documents in order to complete the application process:

• Educational Documents:
  • Class X Certificate & Mark Sheet
  • Class XII Certificate/Mark Sheet
  • Mark sheets of 1st year Engineering, Degree Certificate and Mark Sheet and other documents to show that they are qualifying the eligibility criteria.
• Caste Certificate: Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are required to submit attested copies of their caste certificates.
• Income Certificate: Income Certificate issued by the local Tehsildar in support of candidate’s eligibility.
• Photograph: A self-attested (on the back) passport size photograph of applicant should also be attached.
• Identity Proof: As a proof of Identification candidate should also attach any one of the following documents:
  • Driving License
  • Adhar Card
  • Voters Identity Card
  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Bank Passbook

The selection of the candidates for the scholarship will be done on the basis of the following factors:

• The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of competitive merit and their need.
• Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST).
