Swami Dayanand Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2018

Merit cum Means Scholarship for students studying in IITs/NITs, Government Medical/Architecture colleges is being offered by Swami Dayanand Charitable Educational Foundation. In 2018, The foundation will provide all 120 scholarships under Swami Dayanand Merit cum Means Scholarship to the Engineering, Medical and Architecture Students. The candidates can fill online as well as the offline application through this page. The last date to submit application form is 31 August 2018. The scholarships will be offered to deserving students who belong to economically weaker sections of society so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education and increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability. • A total of 271 scholarships are awarded in last two years.
• In 2018, 120 scholarships will be awarded to the meritorious students.
• Total $78,800 has been sanctioned to aid deserving candidates to pursue their higher education.

Swami Dayanand Merit cum Means Scholarship

The candidates can submit Swami Dayanand Merit cum Means Scholarship Application form by 31 August 2018. 

Total Number of Scholarship

Under the Swami Dayanand, Merit cum Means Scholarship, a total of 120 scholarships will be distributed in 2018. There are 5 types of scholarships which are given below:

• Smt. Shyam Lata Garg Scholarships
• Sh. Anand Swarup Garg Memorial Scholarships
• Sh. Ram Lal Gupta Memorial Scholarships
• Smt. Shanti Devi Memorial Scholarships
• Sh. Ram Ji Lal Memorial Scholarships

The scholarship will be paid on an annual basis only. The continuation of Scholarship, once awarded, should be subject to the satisfactory conduct and performance of the candidate in their examinations on Annual/ Semester basis every year. In 2018, Swami Dayanand Merit cum Means Scholarships are distributed to 120 students.

Submission of the Application form

Online Mode: The candidates have to fill the online application form on or before the due date i.e. 31 August 2018. The candidates need not send any documents to the officials at the time of Registration. However, once the candidates are shortlisted, they need to send the following documents mentioned above at the following address along with an Essay.

Offline Mode: The candidates need to send the duly filled application form by 31 August 2018 to the address mentioned below.

• Proof of age
• Two Recent passport size photographs
• Mark Sheet of Class 10 & 12
• Annual Income Certificate of Family
• Bank details in the ECS form.
• Copy of PAN card
• A copy of AADHAR ID
• A copy of Fee Receipt submitted by the student or Admission letter, in case of a student who has taken admission this year.

Essay Submission

The shortlisted candidates need to submit an essay in their own handwriting on "About Challenges You Have Faced in Life and How You Have Responded to Them" in Not more than 500 words which are to be sent along with the above documents to the address given below. The candidates can submit the essay in Hindi or their mother tongue.

Renewal of the Application Form

The candidates seeking Renewal for the academic year 2018-19 can apply online by following the link below. The candidates need not send any documents to the officials after submitting the online application form for Swami Dayanand Merit cum Means Scholarship 2018. However, the candidates need to upload their Marksheets and also have to fulfill the academic eligibility criteria i.e. 7.5 CGPA in the previous year of examination.

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit and family background

• Eligible Students having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order.

• Percentage of marks obtained in the course and annual income of the family will also be taken into consideration.
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in class 12 and their performance in the ongoing session.
• Intimation to the Selected candidates will be done through email or at the address mentioned in the scholarship application form.
