SJVN Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship Scheme 2021 is for the meritorious students who have passed their Class 12 Examinations in the year 2021. The scheme aims at implanting the competitive spirit amongst the students and fostering their academic talent. SJVN Merit Scholarship Scheme is being implemented through HIMCON on the behalf of SJVN Foundation. The students of Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand who have passed their Class 12 in any discipline from a school under the State Education Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or ICSE with 60% marks are eligible to apply for the SJVN Scholarship 2021. A total of 150 students will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 2000 per month for the whole duration of the regular course after class 12. SJVN Scholarship is provided to students for higher studies after 12th. Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following courses will be eligible for the SJVN Merit Scholarship:
Total 150 students will be awarded the SJVN Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship of Rs. 2000 per month for the whole duration of the next higher education program after class 12.

Students will get the following total scholarship amount for the whole duration of the regular course:
In Himachal Pradesh, 10% of seats will be reserved for the students studying in the schools situated under the project Affected Area (PAA) villages. The state-wise SJVN scholarship allotment is given below
In the state of Bihar and Uttrakhand, the allocated seats will be open only for the Project Affected District in the following manner: 50% for Project Affected Family (PAF) students 25% for Project Affected Area (PAA) students which will also include PAF students on merit basis. 25% for Project Affected district students which will also include PAF and PAA Students respectively on merit basis.

The students of the state of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand (Uttarkashi & Chamoli only), Maharashtra ( Ahmednagar only), Bihar (Buxar), Gujarat (Sundernagar & Patan District) who have passed their class 12 or equivalent in any discipline from the schools under State Education Board, CBSE, or ICSE are eligible to apply for the SJVN Scholarship 2019.
Definition: Project Affected Area (PAA) means the declaration by the particular Government an area of villages or locality under a project for which the land is being acquired under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 or any other Act in force or an area that comes under the submergence due to impounding of water in the reservoir of the project or the area situated over the underground component of the project. |
Students can apply for SJVN scholarships in both online and offline modes. Students can either fill out and submit the SJVN scholarship application form online or download it to apply offline mode. The SJVN scholarship application form links are given below. Students will have to fill out and submit the application form along with the required documents. The shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of documents with original academic certificates and testimonials.

Duly filled application forms will be screened by the selection committee or agency engaged by SJVN. The candidates will be shortlisted by the committee/ agency on the following criteria:
The SJVN Merit Scholarship will be provided annually subject to passing the previous year/ session exam successfully. The scholarship will be discontinued for the succeeding year if the student fails to pass the exam or passes the exam through the supplementary exam. The student will be required to submit the prescribed Scholarship requisition form for the release of the SJVN Scholarship. The first instalment of the scholarship will be awarded to the candidates on some special occasion like SJVN Raising Day, Republic Day, Teacher’s Day etc.
