• Shell Junior National Science Scholarship programme recognizes and inspires young talent to focus on science and environment. This is the third edition of the scholarship exam.

• The scholarship p is held in association with the British Council (implementation partner) and National Council of Science Museums (NCSM- the knowledge partner)

• Shell Junior National Science Scholars programme is sponsored by Royal Dutch Shell-owned Shell India Markets Pvt Ltd and is scholarship exam for students of Class 9 &10.
• Shell Junior National Science Scholarship 2014-15 will be conducted in 20 cities of India.
• The registrations for Shell Junior National Science Scholarship 2014-15 began in the 3^rd week of December 2014 and will end in the third week of January 2015.
• Shell Junior National Science Scholarship 2014-15 Exams will be held from the third week of January 2015 onwards.
• Last year Shell Junior National Science Scholarship witnessed participation of more than 7000 students belonging to 450 schools across India.

• Regional Winners: Twenty regional winners will win a one-time scholarship of Rs. 50,000 each.
• Top 3 winners: Top three winners will be selected from the 20 regional winners on the basis of marks scored in the exam, and will win the National Level Awards of Rs. 75,000 each.

A student is eligible to win two prizes that is the Regional Prize as well as the Shell Junior National Science Scholar Award.

Note:

• Winners will receive the Awards in the form of cheque issued in their name.
• The scholarship amount is not taxable.

Students can apply online through their respective schools by visiting the official website.

• The Scholarship Test would be conducted in 20 cities but students from all over India can participate in this.
• So while filling up the registration form the students belonging to cities other than the 20 test cities as given below should select Others as the School City.
• Participation Fees: There is no registration fees to participate in the scholarship exam.

• Schools can download the admit cards for Shell Junior National Science Scholarship 2014-15 for the students from the Shell website.
• Students will be required to affix their recent passport photograph on provided space in the Admit Card.
• The Admit card will also have to be attested by the School Principal.

Shell Junior National Science Scholarship 2015 Exam Pattern

• Scholarship Exam would be an online test of 1 hour.
• The Shell Junior National Science Scholarship 2014-15 will consist of 61 questions in the following format:

Selection of the Winners

• The students will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the first 60 objective type questions.Marks secured in Subjective type question will not be taken into account except in the cases where there is a tie amongst students.

• Tie-Breaker: The last question, i.e. the subjective type question will be assessed only if the winning students score equal marks.
