Science without Border Challenge is an annual Art Competition which aims to motivate students to be a part of the protection and conservation of the world’s oceans and aquatic resources. This is the seventh edition of the annual science competition. The Theme for 2019 competition is “Connected Ocean: No Barriers, No Boundaries, and No Borders ". Candidates need to harness their artistic skills and creative vision to create a piece of art that illustrates how the ocean is connected.
The application for the Science without Border Challenge has started, and the candidates can apply online before the given deadline. It is conducted by Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation which is a US Based Not for profit organisation.
It is a global art competition open for children of age 11 to 19 years with scholarships of up to $500 awarded to the winning entries. Students can apply under 2 categories
In 2016, entries were received from over 150 students from 17 countries including Hungary, India, Kenya, New Zealand, and Pakistan.
The Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation’s Science Without Borders Challenge is an international art competition that engages students to promote the need to preserve, protect, and restore the world’s oceans and aquatic resources. All around the world, nations, organizations, schools, and individuals can observe and take part in the contest. This challenge is created to get students and teachers interested in ocean conservation through various forms of art.

The prize for the first three winners of the Science without Border Challenge 2019 will be accordingly. The name of the winners will be declared publically.

The candidates willing to participate in the challenge need to fill the application form through online mode and send it to the organising body with the artwork. The Science without Border Challenge is free of cost. There is no entry fee to apply for the challenge. The candidates can download the form by following the link given below

Participants below 13 years of age: Parents of participants younger than the age of 13 should fill and send the COPPA agreement form along with the application form.
The contestants participating must submit an Entry Forms. It is preferred that the candidates submit their forms online at (www.lof.org/SWBChallenge). All the fields on the Entry Forms must be filled out in order to be considered for awards.

If you are sending the artwork in a flat package, put something rigid in with it, so it does not get bent. This seems to minimize damage, but you may want to make sure the art is protected on both sides with additional packaging. We recommend that you do not fold your artwork. If you can roll your artwork, we suggest putting the artwork in a mailing tube.
The Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation keeps the right to disqualify artwork if felt offensive. The artwork will be judged by the panel of Artists, Scientists and Educators.
