About RMO Maharashtra and Goa
Regional Mathematical Olympiad 2016- is a qualifying stage for students taking Indian National Mathematical Olympiad 2016 that will lead them to the worldwide mathematics competition known as International Olympiad.
- Indian National Mathematical Olympiad will be held on the 1st Sunday of January 2017 and around 30-35 students across the Indian Regions will be selected to participate in INMO.
- There are total 28 regions (including 3 of CBSE, JNV and KVS) responsible for conducting the Regional Mathematical Olympiad 2016.
RMO 2016 for Maharashtra and Goa Region
- For Maharashtra, two regions have been formed. One is Maharashtra & Goa state and other is Greater Mumbai Region.
- Students residing in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai including Panvel will be eligible to apply under the Greater Mumbai Region.
- Students residing in areas of Maharashtra other than these and in Goa should apply under RMO 2016- Maharashtra & Goa Region.
- Students with excellent mathematical skills will get a platform to sharpen & strengthen their skills by taking the RMO 2016.
- RMO Maharashtra and Goa Participation Fee is Rs 150
- RMO 2016 for Maharashtra & Goa region will be held on October 9, 2016 (1.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m, Sunday)

- Please note that the centres facing a difficulty in conducting the test on that date may under exceptional circumstances conduct the test on an alternate date between October 1 and 16, 2016, with the approval of the National Coordinator.

- Age: All Indian students who are born on or after August 1, 1997
- Academic Qualification: Students of class 11 along with exceptionally good students of class 9 & 10 are eligible to participate in RMO 2106- Maharashtra & Goa region.
- Geographical limits: Students of Goa & Maharashtra excluding those who reside in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai including Panvel are eligible to take the RMO 2016- Maharashtra & Goa region.

RMO Maharashtra and Goa Reward
Students on final selection will be eligible to take Indian National Mathematical Olympiad 2016, a qualifying stage for participation in International Mathematical Olympiad 2016 to be held in Hong Kong.
RMO Maharashtra and Goa Application form and Process
The registration for the RMO can be done through schools/institutions or by the students themselves.
- Through schools: School Authorities should download the application form from the website and fill in all the details of the participating students and send it to the address mentioned below along with a single Demand Draft. >> Click here to download the Application Form.
- Schools have to send a single demand draft drawn in favour of Regional Co-coordinator (RMO and INMO)-Maharashtra payable at Pune. The amount of demand draft needs to be the product of a number of participating students and Rs. 150.
- The Schools/Colleges sending the DD on account of all the participants should write their name and the contact number of the Teacher-in-charge on the back side of the Demand Draft.
- Individual participation: Students who wish to apply individually for taking RMO 2016 have to download the application form and send it to the regional Coordinator address with a Demand Draft of Rs. 150. >> Click here to download the Application Form.
- The students sending the DD individually should write their name, the name of the school and contact number on the back side of the DD.
- Submission of the Application Form: The application forms either Individual or from Institutions, should be sent to:

RMO Maharashtra and Goa Selection Process
Selection of students for participation in the 2nd level of International Mathematical Olympiad will depend on marks obtained by the candidate in the RMO- Maharashtra & Goa region.
