RMO Chandigarh 2015 | Pre-Regional Mathematics Olympiad

• The Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad is the first stage of state level examination (RMO) which leads to the national level examination, the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO)

• The RMO Chandigarh 2015 will be conducted on December 6, 2015 and the selected students will participate inINMO which will be organized on February 7, 2016.
• Pre RMO Chandigarh would be held on September 27, 2015 and the last date to fill chandigarh pre RMO application form is September 21, 2015.

Latest Update: Pre RMO Result for Chandigarh Region (Haryana, Himachal & Punjab) has been announced on October 28, 2015. Total 81 students have been selected for the RMO to be held on December 6, 2015

• The venue for Pre-RMO Chandigarh 2015 will be

University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET),
Academic Block II, Sector 25,
Panjab University,
Chandigarh.

• The students selected in Pre-RMO will participate in Regional Mathematical Olympiad, which is the second stage of the examination.
• Pre-RMO acts as the first step toward Indian team for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
• IMO 2016 will be held in Hong Kong.
• India has 25 regions along with three independent groups that conduct Regional Math Olympiad.
• Each region has its own Regional Coordinator, who is responsible for conducting RMO in his/her region.

Pre-RMO Chandigarh 2015 Reward

• Depending upon the performance of the candidates in Pre RMO 2015, deserving candidates will be selected for the next stage i.e. Regional Mathematical Olympiad.
• The selected students will undertake a training camp for RMO 2015 and will represent the state in next round of the examination.

• The students willing to participate in Pre-RMO Chandigarh 2015 should visit the Department of Mathematics, Panjab University for registration.
