Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme was formed to provide equal opportunity to the minority groups in the country carried out by Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA), established to provide financial aid to students who belong to the minority community and from economically backward families. MOMA Post Matric Scholarship Application can be filled through the National Scholarship Portal. The application is available now for Post-Matric Scholarship 2019. MOMA Post Matric Scholars are distributed to the candidates whose family income is less than 2 lakh rupees per annum. Under MOMA Post Matric Scholarship 2019, 5 lakhs fresh scholarship will be distributed. 30% of scholarships are reserved for girls. Students not eligible for Post Matric MOMA Scholarship

The Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme 2019 will cover the full tuition fee of the course and that would directly be credited to the bank account of the school/college/ university/institution. The maintenance allowance will be given for only 10 months in an academic year and will directly be credited to the student's bank account. As for the renewals, there is no target for them. Following are the rewards received by students under this scheme.

Hostellers include students who are not staying in hostel of the school/institute concerned but are staying as paying guest or in rented accommodation in towns/cities which are not the places where their parents reside.

The students can apply for Post-Matric Scholarship in an online mode. Candidates have to provide required information while registering for this scholarship. There are in all 5 Lakh Scholarship that would be distributed under MOMA Post Matric Scholarship. The number is based on Census 2011 Data. Out of this 3,68,282 scholarships is for Muslims students, 59,483 scholarship is for Christian students, 44544 scholarship for Sikh Students, 18051 scholarship for Buddhist Students, 9518 scholarships for Jain Students, 121 scholarship for Parsi Students.
The distribution of the scholarship in a state/UT will be made on the basis of the population in state/UT according to Census 2001. The selection will be made strictly on the merit basis.
