Poetry Nation Poetry Contest 2016

• Entries are being invited for Poetry Nation’s Poetry Contest 2016, which is being sponsored by Eber & Wein Publishing and conducted by Poetry Nation.
• Poetry Nation’s Poetry Contest is organized twice every year and is open to everyone irrespective of their age, nationality, and proficiency. Presently entries are being accepted for the July 01-December 31 and after that, the entries will begin on Jan 1-Jun 30 so basically the poetry contest remains open throughout the year.
• The Poetry Contest has no entry or registration fee and the entries for the contest are to be submitted online on the official website of Poetry Nation.
• The winners of the contest will get cash prize up to USD 2,000 (Approx. INR 1,20,000) along with a wall plaque.

The winner of the Poetry Nation Poetry Contest will be awarded with the following Prizes:

• First Prize: 3 Three winners will be awarded with first prize and the winner will get cash prize of USD 2000 (Approx. INR 1,20,000) along with award plaque worth 100$ to be given annually.
• Second Prize: 2nd Second prize will be awarded to 60 winners and each of them will get cash prize of USD 100 (Approx. INR 6,000) and a wall plaque worth 75 USD.
• Third Prize: 300 entries will be awarded with Third prize and award plaque worth 75 USD is awarded annually.

The application for the scholarship needs to be made online using the official website of Poetry nation. The details of the submission are as follow:

• Specifications of the Poem: The poem to be submitted need to adhere the following guidelines:
  • Number of Entries: Participants are allowed to submit only one poem. Submission of multiple poems will lead to disqualification.
  • Limits: The must be 26 lines or less and each line should have maximum 55 characters including spaces.
    • Stanza Breaks will be included in lines but the title will not be included.
  • Grammatical Mistakes: The poem must follow the grammatical rules of capitalization and other grammatical and spelling mistakes.
  • Do not use "texting" lingo. Properly write out all words.
