About Plural+ Youth Video Festival 2015
- United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and International Organization for Migration (IOM) invites youth from all over the world to participate in Plural+ Youth Video Festival.
- The Video Festival is open for participants belonging to the age group of 9-25 years. Individual as well as group participation will be accepted for the festival.
- Themes: In order to participate in Plural+ Youth Video Festival, applicants need to submit their original videos related to the following themes:
- Migration
- Diversity
- Social Inclusion.
- The submitted video should be in English or must be accompanied by English subtitles.
- There is no application/ participation fee for the festival and the submission of videos for the Plural+ Youth Video Festival can be done online as well as offline.
- The winners of Plural+ Youth Video Festival will receive USD 1000 (approx. INR 63000) each along with a trip to New York City on December 03, 2015.
- In addition to the above prize several other prizes will also be given by Plural+ Partners.

Details |
- Age: The applicant must be older than 9 years but younger than 25 years at the time of submission of the video.
- Participation: Individual as well as Group participation is allowed for the festival.
- External Support: Applicants can use external help but their contribution should be minimal in creative aspect of the video.
- Language: The entries must be in English and in case of any other language, English subtitles must be there with the video.
Not Eligible for the Festival
- Applicants belonging to the immediate family of the judges are not eligible to be a part of the Festival.

Plural+ Youth Video Festival 2015 Rewards
Out of all the videos received, judges will select three winners and the names of the winners will be announced in PLURAL+ 2015 Awards Ceremony at the Paley Center for Media in December 2015. The details of the reward are as follow:
- Cash Reward: Winner from each category will get cash reward of USD 1000 (Approx. Rs.63000).
- Invitation to New York: One representative of each award winning video will be called to New York on an all travel expense paid trip, to present their video at PLURAL+ 2015 Awards Ceremony.
- Plural+ Partners Awards: Partners associated with Plural+ for the Youth Video Festival will select and reward some videos as per their own criteria.
- Recognition: The videos will receive wide exposure and recognition as they will be used by Plural+ on multiple platforms i.e. satellite, broadcast, film festivals, internet, and DVD.

Candidates can send their entries for the Plural+ Youth Video Festival 2015 either offline or online. The application form can be downloaded from the website. The details of the application process are as follow:
- Mode of application: Application for the festival can be made online as well as offline. Applicants need to fill the application form and send it along with the video.
- Specifications of the Video:
- Format:.mov
- Duration: Maximum 5 minutes
- Language: English or with English Subtitles.
- Theme: Related to the topics of Migration, Diversity and Social inclusion.
- Message to be conveyed:The video should reflect the aim of the Plural+ Youth Video Festival 2015, which is :
- To recognize youth as agents of social change in a world often characterized by intolerance, and cultural and religious divisions.
- To involve youth in addressing questions on migrant integration, inclusiveness, identity, diversity, human rights and social inclusion wherever they be in the world.
- To encourage the practical contributions of young people in not just identifying constraints, but also in promoting a climate of respect and appreciation for each other.
Submission of Videos
Videos for the festival can be submitted online as well as offline. Let us have a look at the details related to both of the submission processes:
- Online Submission:
- Candidates can upload the video on any file hosting website such as dropbox.com etc. and share the link of the video by the help of an email.
- A mail containing the Title of the video, Name of the authors, Address/Link to download the video and Contact email need to be sent to “plural@unaoc.org”.
- Completely filled and signed application form should also be sent as an attachment with the email.
- Offline Submission:
- Candidates willing to go for offline submission need to mail a DVD of their video on the address mentioned below:

- The DVD must be accompanied by a completely filled and duly signed application form and the name of the entrant and the English title of the video should be mentioned on the top of the DVD with the help of a permanent marker.

Plural+ Youth Video Festival 2015 Selection Process
All the videos received will be sorted under three categories and one winner will be selected from each category for the award. The details of the categories and selection process are as follow:
- Categories: The classification of the videos will be done on the basis of the age of the entrant. The three categories are as follow:
- up to 12 years old
- 13 to 17 years old
- 18 to 25 years old
- Jury: An Independent International jury will select one winner from each of the categories for the awards.
- Result: The result of the awards will be notified to the winners by October 26, 2015.
Note: PLURAL+ will seek written consent of the parents or legal guardians of the makers of the winning videos.
