PCRA Competition 2019 - It is organised by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and supported by CBSE. This year the competition has been named as SAKSHAM National Competition. PCRA conducts three competitions namely Painting, Quiz and essay writing competition. The winner gets a fully paid trip to Japan. Children studying in recognised schools within India, affiliated to all Boards, Central or state are invited for a National Level Painting, Quiz, and Essay Writing Competition The PCRA Competition registration has started from 1 July 2019 and the last date to apply is online is 30 September 2019. Every year PCRA keeps a different theme for the competition and the student has to submit their work as per the guidelines and theme of the competition.
The PCRA Competition Prize distribution will be held on 16 January 2019 in Delhi. The distribution of awards is given below.

All Indian Schools recognised by Central & State Boards of India can participate. Candidates can participate via their Schools only. No individual participation is allowed. PCRA Competition registration for essay and painting is through Schools ONLY. However, in Quiz competition, the candidates can also participate individually. There is no application fee for PCRA competition registration 2019.
It is advised to follow all the instructions carefully. The guidelines for each competition are given below. The school needs to register firstly in order to organize all the competitions.

Theme of Painting Competition: "Oil Conservation towards the healthy and better environment"
School is required to evaluate the entries for each category, and upload Best two entries in each category (Junior/Senior), in which the competition has been conducted at the school,
The students whose paintings are adjudged in the best 100 paintings in each category, on All India basis, will be invited to participate in a National Final round at Delhi. PCRA shall bear the expenses of travel, and the best 100 in each category shall be advised on the same
School is required to evaluate the entries, and upload Best two entries in each language, in which the competition has been conducted at the school.

PCRA will also organise Quiz Competition. The maximum numbers of eligible students are invited to register in a school to form a team. National Level Round will be held in Delhi. The Questions in quiz competition shall pertain to Fuel Conservation, Environment, General Studies etc.

PCRA Quiz Competition selection will be made on the basis of the following 5 rounds
Rounds | Levels | Details |
First | School | Maximum number of eligible students needs to participate in the first round and the best two students from each school will be selected for the next level |
Second | District | The District level students are eligible for state-level competition. The district level will be held from 1 July to 20 September 2019. |
Third | State | The students who clear the state or third round will be qualified for the offline zonal quiz competition. The state-level competition will be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai from 5 to 15 October 2019. |
Fourth | Zonal | The winners of the Zonal round shall be invited to participate in the National Level Competition |
Fifth | National | National winners shall be felicitated in Delhi on 16 January 2020 |
Note: The First three levels are Online Quiz Rounds and Round 4 & 5 are " Live" Competitions.
The shortlisted paintings/essays sent by the school will then be examined by the Jury appointed by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA)
