NSEC: The registration for NSEC 2018 has been started from 1 August 2018. National Standard Examination in Chemistry is commonly known as NSEC. It is organized by Indian Association of Physics Teachers in collaboration with Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT). NSEC 2018 is a qualifying stage leading eligible candidates to participate in Indian National Chemistry Olympiad ( A Qualifying stage for International Chemistry Olympiad. NSEC has organized annually and students up to class 12 can take part in the Examination. Being a gateway to the Internationally recognized Olympiad, NSEC offers participants an opportunity to excel in the respective subject. Also, read about international Chemistry Olympiad (INChO). Applicants should be born on or after 1 July 1999 and in addition, should be studying in class 12 or lower as of 30 November 2018 Not Eligible to participate in NSEC 2018 Students those who have passed class 12 cannot take part in the NSEC. |
On qualifying NSEC 2018, the selected candidate will be eligible to participate in the Indian National Chemistry Olympiad, a qualifying stage for the International Chemistry Olympiad 2019.
Other Awards & Certificates for NSEC 2018 participants
Candidates have to register through their schools or registered centres. The registration form of the National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC) can only be filled by the Institutions. The link to NSEC 2018 Application Form is available below. The registration fee for NSEC 2018 is 150 rupees. The steps of filling the form are given below.

The candidates who have filled the application form should submit the same to complete the application process. Before the final submission of the application form, the candidates should make sure that they have filled the correct details on the form.
NSEC Admit Card will be available to download for the candidates to appear in the examination scheduled to be conducted on 25 November 2018. The dates for the same will be notified later.
The admit card is an important document to be carried at the examination centre. The link to download the admit card will be available below. The candidates have to enter their username and password to download the admit card.

The candidates will be able to check NSEC Answer Key 2018 as soon as it releases by following the link available below. NSEC Answer Key 2018 is expected to be released in the first week of December 2018, however, there is no official date has been announced regarding the same. Candidates of NSEC 2018 will be based on marks obtained in their written Examination. More the marks secured by the candidate more will be their probability of being selected. The NSEC result will be declared in the first week of January 2019 for the exam scheduled to be conducted on 25 November 2018.
NSEC Exam 2018 will be held on 25 November. Candidates can check NSEC Syllabus and Exam Pattern below. Syllabus for NSEC is broadly equivalent to the syllabus of CBSE Biology of the senior secondary level i.e. class 11 and 12.

About: International Chemistry Olympiad (INChO) is an annual chemistry Olympiad. It is the final stage of Chemistry Olympiad where the selected students from National Level Olympiad across the globe compete against each other. A team of 5 students along with two leaders from each nation participate in INChO.
From National to International: Students first appear in National Search Examination in Chemistry. Later, the qualified students appear in Indian National Olympiad (INO). Further, the selected students are invited for Orientation Cum Selection Camps from where the final five candidates are selected who represent India at International Level in International Chemistry Olympiad.
Achievement: In 2016, 48th International Chemistry Olympiad held in Tbilisi, where Indian students bagged two gold and two silver medals.
