NBHM PhD Scholarship 2021 by the National Board for Higher Mathematics has started for the candidates who have completed their B.S./M.A./M.Sc. (or equivalent) Degree and will be admitted to a recognised PhD. Programme on or before 1 August 2021, are eligible to apply for this scholarship scheme. Selected students will be granted Rs 32,000 as the contingency grant and Rs 25,000 will be disbursed to the accounts of the selected candidates monthly which will increment later. The candidates can complete the application process for NBHM PhD Scholarship before 8 December.

NBHM PhD Scholarship will be granted to the shortlisted candidates on the basis of their results in the entrance exam conducted for the scholarship. The disbursement of the scholarships will be made by the University/Institution they are enrolled with. The candidates selected for the scholarship will receive the amount as under:

The scholarship will be granted to the candidates for the period of 1 year after which it will have to be renewed on the basis of the academic performance and satisfactory results by the candidate. Though the scholarship scheme will be granted till the 4th year PhD studies it can be extended to the 5th year if the candidate has outstanding performance in the subsequent years.

The candidates can submit the NBHM PhD Scholarship only through offline mode. The candidates can download the application form from the link above, and the duly filled application form must be sent to the address of candidate's respective zone.

The hall ticket/admit card for the NBHM PhD Scholarship test will be sent to the candidates which can be received by the candidates on or before 5 January 2018, If the NBHM PhD Admit Card Hall Ticket is not received by the applicants they will have to contact their zonal coordinator. Applicants are required to contact their zonal coordinator for all queries related to admit card.
There are in total 21 test centres in all 5 zones for the NBHM Exams. The test centres are given below:
The candidates who have been selected for the written test can check their names here.
The candidates will be selected for the NBHM PhD Scholarship on the basis of a written test and Interview, and the written test is conducted by NBHM. Written test features questions based on topics normally covered in master’s degree programmes in mathematics. The written test will be of 150 minutes’ duration and will involve questions with short answers.
The candidates will have to appear in the written test and based on the performance of the written test; candidates will be short-listed for an interview before final selection.
The candidates can check last year question papers to get an idea about the type of question papers that are asked in the exam.
