About Natural Capital Olympiad
‘Saevus’ an India's premium wildlife and natural history web portal & magazine has come up with the Natural Capital Olympiad 2016 in association with the YES Bank and supported by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Saevus Natural Capital Olympiad is based on the Natural World and aims to inculcate the habit of assimilating, learning and creating an appreciation for nature among the young generation. School students of class 3 -10 are eligible to participate in Natural Capital Olympiad.
The topics covered under the Olympiad are based on India’s amazing bio-diversities and thereby, enables today's children to become more environmentally conscious.
The Natural Capital Olympiad comprises 3 rounds
- School Round
- School level round will be held on August 24, 2016,/ September 28, 2016. Students about to apply can choose either of the dates to take the Natural Capital Olympiad 2016.
- Regional Round and
- National Event
- Topics of Olympiad: Flora, fauna, Terra, Aqua, Mental Aptitude and General Awareness.

Only Students of class 3-10 of schools affiliated to CBSE, ICSE, IB and all State Boards are eligible to participate.
Medium of Schools: English/Hindi
Schools located outside India: Students of class 3-10 of English/Hindi medium schools outside India are also eligible to take the Olympiad in case the school is registered for the Natural Capital Olympiad.

Natural Capital Olympiad Reward
Selected students of Natural Capital Olympiad 2016 will receive scholarships along with certificates and other consolation prizes.
For School Toppers- For schools with 50 participants or more
Gold, silver and bronze awards for students obtaining 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in the school round respectively.
For Class Toppers
- 1st Rank: 25,000 and merit certificate (National Winner)
- 2nd Rank: Rs.15,000 and merit certificate (First Runner-up)
- 3rd Rank: Rs.10,000 and merit certificate (Second Runner-up)
- Top 10 category prizes of Rs1000 each

Note:
- All National winners and Special Awardees of the Olympiad will be felicitated at the National Event Award Ceremony.
- All travel costs for students qualifying for the National Round are to be borne by the participants.
Natural Capital Olympiad Application form and Process
- Students can participate in Natural Capital Olympiad 2016 only through school.
- To participate in the Olympiad the school has to first get registered for the Olympiad by sending an e-mail to olympiad@saevus.in or contact the Saevus office at 022 – 25708580 to receive their registration forms.
- Registered schools will receive a unique identification code from the Olympiad.
- After receiving the school id the school has to send the 2 lists to Saevus.
- List 1: Class-wise list of the name of the students who have paid fees for the Olympiad.
- List 2: Class-wise list of students who have paid for the reference material.
- Reference Material for the Olympiad: Schools on behalf of their respective students may ask for reference material of the National Capital Olympiad 2016 with an additional charge of Rs.120 per student.
- Both the lists should be sent to Saevus by July 31, 2016
Form downloaded is to be completely filled and submitted to the respective schools of students with an application fee of Rs.100 per student.

Cheque/DD
- The Cheque/DD should be drawn in favor of "Saevus Wildlife India LLP"
- Mention the reference no. that you receive on the backside of the DD/Cheque
- The DD Can be sent to the address given below or alternatively, it can be deposited in any of the YES bank branches.
Submission of application forms of Natural Capital Olympiad 2016
- Schools have to send the data of students participating in the Olympiad collectively along with the fees collected to the

Natural Capital Olympiad Admit Card 2016
- Schools have to download Student Roll Numbers and digital Admit Cards from the Olympiad website.
- Only students with valid admit cards will be allowed to take the Olympiad.
Natural Capital Olympiad Selection Process
First Round: School Level
- 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 50 Marks is to be answered.
- Duration of the Test: 60 minutes.
- Students obtaining maximum marks will be shortlisted to take part in the 2nd round.
- Dates of Olympiad Round 1: August 24, 2016/ September 28, 2016.
- Evaluation will be made by the experts and the result for the school round will be announced in December 2016
Second Round: Final Round
- Interactive sessions of 60 minutes for each student who has qualified 1st round.
- Those who will qualify 2nd round will be able to participate in the National event.
- Students who have qualified 1st round shall be eligible to take the 2nd round and further qualifying the 2nd round will be able to participate in the final round.
Third Round: National Level
- Students who will qualify 2nd round shall be felicitated at the national event
i.e. 3rd round.
Syllabus of Natural Capital Olympiad 2016
- Awareness on your natural surroundings.
- Study topics like Plant and Animal Life, Environmental Issues, Forests, Sanctuaries and Wildlife Parks of India
- The Olympiad reference book which can be bought at a nominal fee of Rs.100 from your school or the website naturalcapitalolympiad.com.
- Class wise sample questions are available on the website.

NOTE:
- Natural Olympiad will be carried out in English as well as Hindi Language.'
- Each question will carry 1 or 2 marks (marked by a icon) depending on difficulty level.
- Each category will have a combination of both types of questions
- There won't be any negative marking.
As the Olympiad contains 3 rounds, so the applicants have to qualify all the subsequent stages in order to become winner of the National Capital Olympiad.
