About National Safety Science Quiz
National Safety Science Quiz is an initiative by The National Council of Science Museums and Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum in order to spread awareness about Safety Science in everyday life.
The participation in National Safety Science Quiz 2015 is by the means of school only, individual applications from students will not be accepted and is open for students of class 9-12. There is no entry fee that is to be paid in order to participate in the National Safety Science Quiz.
Registration for the Quiz open on June 25, 2015 and closes on July 31, 2015.There are two stages of the quiz i.e. Written Examination and Final Quiz.
A maximum of 7000 students will appear in the written examination which will be conducted at 7 centers located all over India. The language of the test will be English.Top four students from each city will be invited to Bangalore in order to participate in the Quiz.The written examination for National Safety Science Quiz will be conducted at the examination centers located in the following cities:
- Ahmedabad
- Bangalore
- Chennai
- Delhi
- Kolkata
- Mumbai
- Guwahati

- Academic Qualification: The students participating in the Quiz should be a student of class 9-12.
- Participation: The contest is open for team participation only.

National Safety Science Quiz 2015 Rewards
The Winners of the National Safety Science Quiz 2015 will be awarded with the following Prizes:
- First Prize: The First Prize winning team will get Rs.50,000 as cash prize i.e. Rs.25,000 per student.
- Second Prize: The team winning Second Prize will get Rs.30,000 as cash prize i.e. Rs.15,000 per student.
- Third Prize: The team winning the Third Prize will get Rs.20,000 as cash prize i.e. Rs.10,000 per student.
- Consolation prize: The consolation prize of Rs.20,000 will be distributed in two teams which means Rs.5,000 per student.
National Safety Science Quiz Application form and Process
Applications for National Safety Science Quiz are to be made by the means of Schools as individual applications will not be accepted from individual candidates. The details of the application process are as follow:
- A School can register maximum 20 students only once. >> Click here to register for National Safety Science Quiz. Schools should register for it before the deadline and as soon as possible as the entries for the written test will be on first come first serve basis and will close at 7000.
- The information related to school, students, and mentor teachers is to be updated while making application for the Quiz.
- The photographs of students are to be uploaded after registration. The specifications of the image are as follow:
- Image Size: 10kb
- Resolution: 250x150 pixel.
- Submission of the Registration Form: The printed registration form is to be signed by the Head of the Institution and forwarded to the address mentioned below by August 7, 2015:

Admit Card: The National Safety Science Quiz 2015 Admit card will be available after August 17, 2015. The student has to get a signed copy of the admit card for the written test.
National Safety Science Quiz Selection Process
On the basis of the written examination, top 4 students will be selected for the quiz to be organised at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), Bangalore in the last week of October 2015.

- The National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, operates a large network of 25 Science Museums & Centres in the country.
- VITM: It is a unit of the National Council of Science Museums and is recognised for the innovative hands-on exhibits and immersive experiences in S&T.
