• Applications for National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) 2015 are being invited by Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
• The fellowship is for young researchers who have already received their Ph.D. /M.D. /M.S. in last 2 years or have submitted their thesis and are about to get their degree in Science or Engineering or any area of medicine.
• The upper age limit of candidates eligible for the National Post-Doctoral Fellowship is 35 years which is relax able up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC Physically Challenged and Female Candidates.
• The fellows selected for National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) 2015 will get monthly stipend of Rs. 55,000 along with Research & Overheads allowance.
• The applications for the scholarship are to be made online and the last date to make application for the scholarship is September 30, 2015.

National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (N-PDF) 2015 Rewards

The candidates selected for the fellowship can undertake the fellowship in any recognized academic institutions, national laboratories and other recognized Research & Development Institute provided that the work done during the fellowship should not continue on doctoral thesis work. The details of the fellowship are:

• Duration: The fellowship is for 2 years and can be extended only for a single year under exceptional circumstances and there is no further provision of further extension.
• Monthly Allowance: The candidate will get a consolidated monthly scholarship worth Rs. 55,000 while to those candidates who have submitted their thesis but have not received their degree will get Rs. 35,000.
• Research Grant: The selected candidate will get a research grant of Rs. 2,00,000 per annum which can be used for buying minor equipment, consumables, national travel & contingencies.
• Overheads allowance: Annual Overheads allowance of Rs. 1,00,000 will be given to the candidates.

  • Project Title: Max 500 characters
  • Project summary: Max 3000 characters
  • Keywords: Max 6
  • Objectives of project: Max 1500 characters
  • Expected output and outcome of the proposal: Max 1500 characters.
• Documents to be uploaded: Thecandidatesshould upload the following documents along with the below mentioned documents and the document should have maximum size of 10MB:

  • Age Proof Certificate
  • Caste Proof Certificate
  • Work Methodology and Research plan
  • Undertaking Certificate by the applicant

• The candidate making the application must identify a suitable Mentor under whose guidance the proposed research would be carried out.
• The selection of the candidate will be done on the recommendations of an Expert Committee that will be constituted by the Board.
• In case the Committee finds it necessary, the candidates may be called for personal interview.
