Nai Udaan Minority Scholarship 2018 is a scheme to support for Minority Students clearing Prelims conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, State Public Service Commissions etc. The candidates have to apply for Nai Udaan Minority Scholarship 2018 within 30 days from the date of announcement of the result of Preliminary Exam. Nai Udaan Minority Scholarship is given with an objective to not only to provide Minority students but to also adequately equip them to compete for appointment to Civil Services in the Union and the State Government.

Amount of Financial Assistance that will be given to those candidates who have cleared the Prelims conducted by UPSC, SSC, SPSC etc are as follows:

The Selected candidates will get 100% financial support through a Nationalized Bank as this is a Central Sector Scheme (CSS). The payment will be made through RTGS/ECS/ Cheque/e-payment.
Nai Udaan Minority Scheme is given to 800 candidates throughout the country on merit basis and those who fulfil the eligibility criteria. The physical distribution of benefits to different notified minority communities are as follows:

Nai Udaan Minority Scholarship Application form can only be filled Online by the candidates. No Offline Applications or any other modes will be accepted. If any candidate has already applied offline, he/she has to again apply online.
Registration: The candidates must register themselves first, and they must keep their registration number, email ID active till the entire process.
Details: The Candidates must fill the online application form very correctly will all the personal and academic details.
Upload Photograph and Signature: The candidates must upload their scanned copies of photograph and signature in the online application form.

Save and submit: After the successful uploading of all the above-mentioned documents the candidates need to click on save button and automatically a message will be generated for the successful registration, and a registration number and password will be sent to the email id given by the candidate. Then the candidate must click on Submit button for the successful application process.

While filling the application form, the candidates should make sure that the details filled by them are correct in all aspect otherwise, the application may get rejected.
The candidates need to submit any hard copy of Nai Udaan Minority Application form along with the documents to the concerned authority. However, candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form for future use.
The Selection of the Minority candidates who have cleared the Prelims conducted by UPSC, SSC and SPSC will be done on the merit basis is the case of the limited number of slots available for any particular community.
The candidates who will be selected for the grants-in-aid under the scheme will be evaluated by the following committee:
A monitoring and evaluation mechanism will be put in place so that the selected students do not suffer due to the delay of financial assistance.
The financial assistance would be provided to the following number of minority students given in the table below. Under the said scheme stipend of Rs.1,500 per month and Rs. 3,000 per month is provided to the local and outstation students respectively.
