About Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/MINORITIES
- Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/Minorities students studying in Colleges/Professional/ Technical Institutes is sponsored by Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities
- Merit Scholarship scheme was launched with the aim to support the meritorious students, who are not financially strong and who belong to the reserved community but want to pursue their higher studies from colleges/professional and technical institutes.
- The Scholarships is available only to the students who are pursuing Degree/Diploma course or Post Graduate Studies or Professional or Technical Courses from State Govt./Central Govt. affiliated College and Institute.
- Last date of Application is September 20, 2015

Details |
- Academic Qualification: Candidate should have obtained 60% or more marks in Class 12 or Equivalent Examinations.
- The candidate should be enrolled in any State Govt./Central Govt. affiliated College and Institute and should be pursuing Degree/Diploma course or Post Graduate Studies or Professional or Technical Courses.
- If there has been a Gap upto 3 years in studies, then also the candidate is eligible to apply
- Income: The family Income of the candidates who belong to OBC and Category should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000 from all sources.
- The limit on family Income of the candidates who belong to SC/ST category is not applicable.
- Students getting stipend from Institutions or Government during the course are also eligible.

Students under this scholarship are not allowed to avail any other scholarship. |

Important Points
- The Rate of Scholarship will be reduced to 50% if a student fails in the annual examination, but continues studies.
- Intentional Non Appearance in the Annual Examination will disqualify the student from the grant of scholarship from the next academic session.

Candidates can download the Application Form/ Self Declaration of Family Income and Electronic Clearing Service Proforma from the official website.

Kindly Note: Candidates have to apply via concerned College or Institute. NO INDIVIDUAL APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Enclosures to be attached with the Application Form (For candidates)
- Mark Sheets: One Self attested copy of the mark sheet in respect of the Class 12 or equivalent examination passed
- Caste Certificate: In case of SC/ST/OBC, Self attested copy of Caste Certificate of student or father issued by the SDM/Deputy Commissioner of Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
- Minority Status: In case of minority students, declaration of minority status of the student by the parent in the form of an affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of value Rs. 10.
- Residence Proof of Delhi (For minority): In case of minority students, three years residence proof in Delhi i.e. Attested copy of Ration Card/Epic/Adhar No./Land Line telephone Bill of MTNL/Driving License issued by GNCTD and Domicile Certificate issued by SDM Delhi/Pass Book of Nationalize Bank is also required.
- Family Income: Self-declaration of family income in the prescribed format
- Hosteller Certificate: Original Hosteller Certificate from Competent Authority. (if applicable)
- Bank Account Details: Details of Student’s Bank account with MICR no. duly verified by concerned bank authority & Copy of pass Book.
- Self-declaration by the student that they are applying for this scholarship only.
- Gap Affidavit: In case of gap upto 3 years an Affidavit has to be submitted.
Submission of the Application Form
The duly filled in Application form has to be forwarded to the below mentioned address by Head of College/Institution concerned before September 20, 2015 between 10 am to 1 pm
