MaRRS International Spelling Bee 2014-15

• MaRRs International Spelling Bee 2014-15 is the largest Spelling Bee competition for school students organized in Asia.
• MaRRs International Spelling Bee (MISB) was started in the year 2003 and 2014-15 is its 11^th year.
• MaRRs Spelling Bee attracts more than 3,00,000 students from more than 1,500 schools from all over the Asia Continent.
• Students from 10 countries participate in the MaRRS Spelling Bee and the countries are: Malaysia, Bahrain, UAE, India, Kuwait, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
• The competition starts at School Level and reaches up to International Level. The winners of the School Level qualify for the next round i.e. Inter School Level and the same process is repeated at State, National and International Level.
• The spell bee competition has 6 categories and students from class 1-12 can participate and compete for the spot of winner.
• The prizes at National level are Rs.3000 to Rs.100000 while at International Level the prize ranges from $111 to $22222.
• To participate, interested candidates or their parents need to deposit the examination fee via UAE exchange or Axis Bank and fill the online application form.

 About MaRRs Spelling Bee 

• MaRRs International Spelling Bee (MISB) was started in the year 2003 and MaRRS Intellectual Services Pvt. Ltd. is the organizing body of the Spelling Bee.
• The learning material for MISB is created in association with English & Foreign Language University, (EFLU) Hyderabad 
• Objective: The objective of the Spell Bee is to enhance the spelling and literary skills of children by the means of motivational learning programme.
• Rounds for Participation: In total there are 11 rounds in MISB which include oral as well as written rounds.
  • Written rounds include Jumbled Words, Dictations, Word Applications, Idioms, Crosswords and Phrasal Verbs.
  • Oral Rounds include Pronunciation, Spell it, Synonyms and Antonyms.
• The participants compete under 6 categories as mentioned below:

The winners of the International and National level will receive the following prizes:

• Disbursement of Scholarship: The scholarship will be distributed in 4 quarterly installments across 10 years.

MaRRS Spelling Bee Application process

The application for the registration of the Spell Bee Competition, need to be made online after depositing the fee at UAE Exchange or Axis Bank. The details of the application Process are as follow:

• Making the Payment: Before filling the application form, applicant or their parents need to deposit the application fee by NEFT, UAE Exchange or at Axis Bank.
• Online Application: After depositing the fee, the application form need to be filled online on the official application portal of MaRRS International Spelling Bee.

• Application Form: For the first time candidates need to use the CIN number as their username as well as password. After signing in the details of the student can be filled and the photograph of the candidate also need to be uploaded at the website.
• After filling all the required information, applicants need to click on submit and take the printout of the TRN page.
• Document to be carried: The candidates need to carry the challan form/UAE Exchange receipt/ NEFT Payment verified mail copy to the venue on the day of the orientation.

MaRRS Spelling Bee Selection Process

The selection process of the MaRRS Spelling Bee competition involves 5 rounds starting from School Championship, Inter-School Championship, State Championship, National Championship and International Championship. The details of the rounds involved in every stage of the championship are as follow:
