Kanyashree Prakalpa 5.0 Scheme 2019 is offered by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal for the girl students of Bengal who are aged between 13 & 18. The main objective of the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme is to improve the status and well-being of girls, especial those girls who are from socioeconomically disadvantaged families. The scheme was launched to prevent the early marriage of girl children of socio-economically disadvantaged families. Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme helps such students to continue their education for a long period of time. The candidates selected for the scholarship will be provided scholarship amount of Rs 750 annually till she completes 18 year age and for the girls between 18 to 19, One time grant of Rs 25,000 will be given to the candidates. The eligible students can fill and submit the application form through offline mode until the last date of submission

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme 2019 offers two types of scholarship only for the girl students. 1st is Annual Scholarship which is for the girl students who are between the ages of 13 and 18 years and the 2nd is the one-time grant for the girls who are aged between 18 and 19. Both the scholarship is only for those girls students who fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

The girl students eligible for the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme can fill and submit the application form only through offline mode. Before applying for the scholarship scheme, the applicant must have opened a bank account in her name because the government will send the money directly to the student’s bank account. The applicants have to collect the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme application form from the institution where the applicants are currently studying in. The applicants have to follow the guideline before filling the application form.
The girl students can fill and submit the application form through offline mode to their respective school. After filling the application form, the applicants have to submit it along with required documents to her Head Teacher. Thereafter, the headteacher of the institute will fill the details in, sign it and put an official stamp, tear-off that portion and hand it over to the student. The students are advised to keep the acknowledgement slip carefully because it contains the application form number, name of the students and other details provided in the application form.
After successfully submission of the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme application form along with supporting documents, it will be uploaded on the official website of Kanyashree at wbkanyashree.gov.in. After uploading, the application form is in several stages and the students can track her application form on the official website.

Once the application form is sanctioned by the officers, the amount of the scholarship will be transferred to the student’s bank account directly. The bank will send a message regarding this to the student’s registered mobile number.
