Japanese Government Scholarship 2017 For School Teachers

Japanese Government Scholarship - For Education Teachers is offered by the Government of Japan through the Embassy of Japan in India. The scholarship is available for the Indian school teachers. The scholarship aims to recruit aspiring primary to senior secondary school teachers in India for research work on Japanese education system. The candidates who are teaching in any government school in India since minimum five years are eligible to apply for Japanese Government Scholarship. The selected candidates will be provided 1,43,000 (around 83,730 Rupees) yen per month for 18 months which will start from October 2017. The candidates wish to apply for the scholarship will have to send their application form via post before 10 February 2017.

Latest News: CBSE has released a circular for application to this scholarship and the teachers have to apply according to that. Circular is given below. CBSE has to nominate 50 teachers for this scholarship.

Japanese Government Scholarship 2017 Important Dates

The candidates selected for Japanese Govt Scholarship will be provided scholarship and other facilities as follows:

• 143000 (around 82800 rupees) yen per month for 18 months.
• In case that the selected candidate's research in a designated region, 2,000 or 3,000 3 yen per month will be provided.

Other Benefits for the Selected Teachers

• The selected candidates will be provided with an aeroplane ticket to Japan and the ticket will be an economy class.
• The candidates who complete their research work period will also be provided with an economic class aeroplane ticket to return back their home country.

The candidates eligible for the scholarship program can apply for the scholarship program only through offline mode only. The Japanese Govt Scholarship application format is available on the official website at https://www.in.emb-japan.go.jp. • STEP 1: The candidates have to download the application form first. Both English and Japanese language are used in the application form. The candidates have to fill the application form in English block letter and also have to use Arabic numeric only.
• STEP 2: Now the candidates have to write their personal details such as name, gender, marital status, date of birth, nationality, age, and teaching experience and have to tick mark for the answer of few question in some of the boxes given there.
• STEP 3: Now the candidates have to write the details of their educational qualification and their teaching job experience in detail.
• STEP 4: The candidates have to paste their recent passport size digital photograph and the nationality & Name of the applicant must be written in the back of the photograph.
• STEP 5: The candidates have to write about their research proposal at the blank space given there.
• STEP 6: In the last of the application form, the candidates have to the signature at the bottom of the application form.

Documents to enclose with Japanese Govt Scholarship Application Form

Photocopy of the following documents has to be attached to submission of the application form:

• Original Application Form (4.5 x 3.5 cm sized Photo attached)
• Original Placement Preference Application Form (4.5 x 3.5 cm sized Photo attached)
• Certified grade transcript for each academic year from the last university/ teacher training school attended (issued by that university)
• The diploma from the last university/ teacher training school attended
• Certificate of Employment(Issued by Present Employer)
• Certificate of Health
• Certificate of Recommendation

Japanese Govt Scholarship Application Submission

The candidates can submit their Japanese Government Scholarship For Education Teachers Application Form only through OFFLINE mode. The candidates have to submit their filled in application form along with the required documents in an envelope scribed as "Japanese Government Scholarship for Teachers Training" to the Japanese Embassy send the filled application form along with necessary documents via the post on the address given below:

CBSE, KVS, NVS School Teachers

The candidates applied for the scholarship will be shortlisted for the interview and a written test which may be held in the middle of the March 2017. The candidates will be shortlisted by a top class evaluation process on the basis of their research proposal. The candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship as follows:

• The candidates shortlisted for interview & written test will also be required to send individual research proposal through email as a pdf file at santosh.verma@nic.in.
• The candidates will be finally selected for Japanese Govt Scholarship program by their interview performance, written test, the research proposal and the teaching background of the applicant.
• The candidates selected for Japanese Govt Scholarship will have to take relieve from the school where he is currently teaching for the total duration of the scholarship program in Japan.

CBSE Notification for Scholarship for CBSE School Teachers

The Government of Japan/Embassy of Japan has invited nominations for Japanese Government scholarships for the year 2017 for the award of scholarships to school teachers teaching in the schools affiliated to CBSE.

The nomination of the teacher along with application forms, annexures and supporting documents as available duly verified by the school principal should reach through email (attachment as a pdf file) at alhilal@cbse.gov.in at the following address urgently.
