Irom Sharmila Scholarship 2015

• The scholarship was instituted in 2013 by Professor Nandini Sundar, Department of Sociology, Delhi University (DU) in honour of Irom Sharmila's battle for constitutional values.
• The award is based on a combination of monetary need, academic merit, suffering under AFSPA or similar laws and both present and potential contribution to the democratic struggle against militarism. 
  

Irom Sharmila Scholarship 2015

• The candidates selected for the award of Irom Sharmila Scholarship will get cash reward of Rs. 50,000 awarded once in a year.

• The jury who will select will comprise of faculty from different Universities in Delhi.
• The result of the scholarship will be announced on March 14, 2015.
