Indian National Olympiad (INO) 2020 Programme refers to a systematic activity supported by the Government of India to select and train Indian teams for various International Olympiads. Candidates who willing to participate in the Indian National Olympiad (INO) 2020 are required to clear the first stage i.e. NSE (National Standard Examination). The National Standard Examination is conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). Candidates who cleared the first stage will be eligible to participate in the second stage i.e. Orientation Cum Selection Camp (OCSC).
In the Orientation Cum Selection Camp which is conducted by HBCSE, students are trained by subject experts and marked on their performance in both theory and practical experiments. The duration of the camp is generally somewhere between 1 and 2 weeks. The schedule of OCSC is given below, scroll the page to view the schedule.

The number of students to be selected for OCSC (Astronomy) in 2020 will be 15 from Group A (Class 12) and 35 from Group B (Class 11 and lower). The number of students selected for OCSC in all other subjects will be 35

Candidates have to fill the online application form to participate in the INO 2020. The application process of INO 2020 is open. If the candidate has qualified for INO 2020 in one or more subjects, please login using your NSE Roll No. and date of birth. Candidates are required to affix their recent passport size photograph in the space provided on the INO 2020 Hall Ticket and bring it at the time of every examination session as applicable in your case. Candidates should also carry a photo ID such as Passport, Adhar Card, etc. as proof of their identity and date of birth. This hall ticket must be preserved and must be presented at the time of OCSC.
INO Exam will be conducted in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna and Ranchi.
INO Hall tickets will be dispatched by email and available on INO website for download from 18 January to 31 January 2020.
Candidate's INO 2020 Roll Number is specified on their Hall Ticket. The roll no. in INO 2020 Hall Ticket is different from the NSE Roll Number. This new Roll Number must be written correctly on all the pages of your INO Question Paper, Answer sheet and performance card and all further correspondence.

Candidates who willing to represent India in the International Olympiad in the field of Junior Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and Math are required to clear all national level stages. Such candidates have to clear the NSE examination which is conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). Successful candidates will move to the second stage i.e. INO (Indian National Olympiad). Those candidates who will perform well in the INO will be moved to the next stage i.e. Orientation Cum Selection Camp (OCSC) which is conducted by HBCSE. In OCSC, candidates will be trained by subject experts and marked on their performance in both theory and practical experiments. And few candidates from OCSC will be selected for representing India in International Olympiad.
All candidates selected to appear for INOs must register themselves on HBCSE’s INO registration portal. Only the registered candidate will be issued a letter of selection and admit card for INO.
In the case of Maths subject, the steps included will be Pre RMO, RMO, INMO, IMOTC, and lastly IMO.
