India Post Letter Writing Competition is now begun for the year 2019. The title of this year's writing competition is "Dhai Akhar" decided by Manoj Sinha who is Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Communication. India Post Letter Writing Competition 2019 is open for all age groups. The letter can be written in English/ Hindi/ Local Language. Interested candidates have to post their entries in the specially designated letterboxes by 30 November 2019. There are two categories for Letter Writing Competition such as:
Only handwritten letters will be accepted.
Theme of Letter: "Dear Bapu, you are immortal”.
Best of three in a circle in each category will be shortlisted and will be sent to the Directorate, Out of these, best 3 letters will be chosen in each of the categories and these letters will be sent to Sabarmati Ashram by special messenger.

The All India Best Writers in each category will be given an honorary title of “Patron of Post”. The prize-winning letters will be published in important newspapers. The award will be as follows:-

Second Prize | Rs. 25,000 (Companion of Post) |
Third Prize | Rs. 10,000 (Post Pal) |

Top three letters in each category will be shortlisted by every Circle and the prize will be awarded to these three entries at circle level. The selected letters at Circle level will be sent to the Directorate for further evaluation in each category at the National Level.
The letter can be written on plain A4 size paper with a word limit of not more than 1000 words under envelope category or 500 words for Inland letter card (ILC) category.
