‘India Is’ Global Video Challenge 2014

• It is an initiative by Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External affairs where entries are accepted from across the globe depicting various shades of India
• Themes included in this year’s edition are:
  • India is Timeless
  • India is Youthful
  • India is Undiscovered
• Similar to previous 2 video challenges and 2 photo challenges, this challenge too promises participation from different countries

There are 3 winners per theme

First Prize includes

• Canon EOS 6D Kit (EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM)
• Taj Weekend Getaway
• ‘India Is’ Merchandise
•  TimeOut Subscriptions
• PDD Merchandises

Second Prize includes

• GoPro HERO3 Black Edition Camera
• Taj Weekend Getaway
• ‘India Is’ Merchandise
•  TimeOut Subscriptions
• PDD Merchandises

Third Prize includes

• Canon LEGRIA HF R306 Camcorder
• ‘India Is’ Merchandise
•  TimeOut Subscriptions
• PDD Merchandises

• Entry is free of cost
• Upload an original video or short film under 5 minutes on any theme mentioned on YouTube
• Number of videos to be uploaded depends on his/her choice
• Go to the official website and sign in using YouTube or Google+ id
• Fill out a brief form to complete the registration process

Every uploaded video will be reviewed on the basis of following criteria:

• Relevance to the selected theme and category
• Production value and the concept
• Way in which the entire video is narrated by the participant

Selection Criteria is mentioned below:

• The video will be showcased on the official website if it fulfills the basic eligibility criteria
• Organizers and Jury members will shortlist the best 45 videos  from among the lot which will be reviewed as per norms by the Grand Jury and rate them accordingly
• Based on ratings, the Grand Jury selects the best videos i.e. 3 best videos per theme
• Total 9 winners will be announced at one time and rewards will be given to the winners

Top 45 (The Finalists) entries selected by Jury woud be announced on April 12, 2014

Grand Prize Winner would be announced on April 30, 2014
