IITM Summer Fellowship Programme 2018

IITM Summer Fellowship Programme is a two months summer programme at IIT Madras and is open for engineering students from all across India. The students selected for IIT Madras Summer Programme will undertake a goal-oriented mini-project at IIT Madras from 16 May 2018 to 15 July 2018. IITM Summer Internship is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

The objective of the summer is to enhance awareness and interest in high-quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences and Humanities 

• Stipend: Rs. 6000 per month for a period of 2 months for the students who get selected for IITM-Summer Fellowship Programme 2018.
• Participating Departments: Aerospace Engg, Applied Mechanics, Bio-Technology, Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Computer Science & Engg, Engineering Design, Electrical Engg, Mechanical Engg, Metallurgical & Materials Engg, Ocean Engg., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management Studies

Steps to fill the Online Application Form

Step 1: Register: Candidates needs to create an account

Step 2: Edit Basic Profile: Candidates should fill their basic information like/ HSC / UG / PG and other additional exam information

Step 3: Review Application: Candidates can review and check their applied information

Step 4: Apply to Department: Candidates can select a department with three option and Project Proposal (no choice for Physics and Humanities dept.)

Step 5: Upload Documents: Candidates must upload their available documents before final submission.

It is to be noted that the Application will only be taken as VALID only when all the above steps have been cleared by the candidates.

Submission of the Application Form 2018

The duly filled in IITM Summer Fellowship Application Form 2018 must be submitted Online and the applicant need not send any hard copy to IIT Madras. Applicant must upload all the necessary document otherwise, any kind of incomplete application will be rejected. Applicant must keep a PDF file for future reference. The candidate is also required to submit the letter issued by the Head of the Institution certifying that he/she is a bonafide student.

Documents are required to be uploaded

• UG Regular Students can upload (1 to 4/5/6 th semester mark sheet)
• UG Lateral Entry Students can upload ( 3 to 4/5/6 th semester mark sheet)
• PG Students can upload ( UG Consolidate / UG individual 8 sem. / PG 1/2 th. Semester mark sheet)
• SC/ST students should upload Category Certificate
