Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition 2017

Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition 2017 is a film making competition conducted by the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting & Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The candidates have to film a 5-minute short video on the two topics as decided by the authorities. The winning entries will be awarded up to 5 Lakh rupees. There are total 3 categories in Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition 2017. Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition is open only for short films in HD formats in the following categories:

• Category 1: Documentaries on Accessible India Campaign, DEPwD which should not be more than 5 minutes.
• Category 2: Theme based short film which should be maximum 5 minutes. The theme for Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition are:
  • Fellowship & Scholarship of DEPwD
  • Beneficiaries of Cochlear Implant, Distribution of Assistive Devices and Tri-cycle under Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase / Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP Scheme), DEPwD
  • Loan beneficiaries of National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), DEPwD
  • Beneficiaries of Accessible Buildings under Scheme for Implementation of Persons with Disabilities Act (SIPDA), DEPwD
  • Beneficiaries of NGOs taking grant –in-aid under Deen Dayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS), DEPwD
  • Various skill development initiatives of the DEPwD for Persons with Disabilities
• Category 3: TV Spots on Accessible India Campaign should not be more than 50 seconds

The top entries in all 3 categories of the competition will be rewarded as under:

Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition 2017 entries can be submitted only through online mode. The participants have to submit the application form at accessfilms2017@gmail.com and the hard copy of the application form has to be submitted on or before 8 August 2017. Each participant has to certify that he/she has the right to participate in the Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition 2017. To fill the application form, the participants have to follow the guideline mentioned below:

• STEP 1: First, the participants should keep ready the film which must fulfil the criteria mentioned above.
• STEP 2: Now the participants have to download the application form online on the official website or by clicking the link given here.
• STEP 3: Thereafter, the participants have to fill the application form by providing film details such as film title, duration of the film, synopsis in 200 words, the language of the film, year of production, format, and availability.
• STEP 4: Now the participants have to provide their basic personal information like the role of the applicants (director or producer), the name of the applicants, address, email, mobile number, profile, director’s statement, additional information, and signature.

The participants have not to pay any amount as application fee. However, all shipping costs of the submitted Blu-ray /USB drive/material must be expended by the participants. After filling the application form, the candidates have to email it along with filmmaker’s photograph (300 dpi) to accessfilms2017@gmail.com.

Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film 2017 Application Submission

Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition 2017 entries can be submitted only through online mode at accessfilms2017@gmail.com. After filling the application form, the candidates have to first submit it online. Thereafter, the participants have to send a hard copy of it along with the screener (Blu-ray / USB Drive only) on or before 08 August 2017 to the following address:

• Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Government of India will select the best entries in all 3 categories.
• Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Short Film Competition reserves the right to use short film received by the participants for advertising purposes and for promoting campaign.
• The top entries in all 3 categories will be informed and will be called to participate in award function. Top entries will be awarded in award function scheduled to be held on 21 September 2017.
