King's College London- Dickson Poon Undergraduate Law Scholarship 2017

• Dickson Poon Undergraduate Law Scholarship 2017 is now accepting applications from students who have applied for Undergraduate Law Courses at King’s College, London through Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and are looking for scholarships.
• Dickson Poon Undergraduate Law Scholarship is a Merit based scholarship offered on the basis of the academic merit of the applicants at the Strand Campus. The candidate also has to qualify in LNAT- National Admission Test for Law.
• Allowance: The students are offered annual financial support of 5000 British Pound (Approx. 5 Lakh) for the duration of the Undergraduate program and only for the first year, candidates are provided with complimentary accommodation.
• Type of Scholarship- Partially Paid Scholarship - Covers a third of the tuition fees.
• Course level- Undergraduate  Level (LLB) - 3 Years course

The Dickson Poon School of Law will award upto 30 students who have applied for the admission to an Undergraduate Program at King’s College, London. The details of the awards are:

• Number of Awards: Upto 30
• Amount of Awards: The students will be given annual stipend of 5000 British Pound (Approx. INR 5 lakh) and the first year fee of the Law Program is 156000 British Pound.
• Duration:The award will be granted for the complete duration of the undergraduate program the candidate has applied for.
• Accommodation: The candidates will be offered complimentary King’s accommodation for the first year of their LLB program.

The students who receives the scholarship have to maintain at least an upper second average (60% or more) each year during your studies.

  • The application form seeks details related to the student making the application such as applicant’s name and UCAS Personal ID etc.
  • Essay: Applicants are also required to submit an essay of 500 words on the following topic:

“Please tell us about the single achievement of which you are most proud. Why does it make you so proud? Then tell us about a time when you failed in something that was important to you. Tell us what you learned from this experience.”

Dickson Poon Undergraduate Law Scholarships Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be done by a panel of judges formed by the Dean of The Dickson Poon School of Law. The details of the selection criteria are:

• Essay: The essay submitted by the applicant as part of his or her completed Application Form
• LNAT Score: The applicant’s LNAT multiple choice score
• Acacdemic Merit & Financial Need: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial needs of the applicants are not taken into consideration.
