BHU SET CHS Varanasi Admission 2021 Started

BHU SET 2021 is an entrance test for BHU School Admission in Central Hindu Girls’ School (CHGS) and Central Hindu Boys’ School (CHBS) of Banaras Hindu University. The BHU SET 2021 was conducted for class 6, 9 and 11 on different dates. The candidates will be admitted to CHS Varanasi based on the marks obtained in the BHU SET 2021. Internal candidates of both the schools can appear in the SET 2021 as external candidate. However, internal candidates can fill a separate application form available at the special counters of the respective schools.

• The Banaras Hindu University was established in 1898, and it empowers the Central Hindu Girls’ School and Central Hindu Boys’ School to provide quality training in Arts, Commerce, Home Science, Science and Agriculture along with sports and extra-curricular activities to train students for a brighter future.
• CHGS & CHBS also provides NCC training to both boys and girls in the Army and Air Wings. 

SET 2021 Application Form is available online on the official website of BHU. The candidate can also use the link provided below to apply for BHU SET 2021. No application form will be sold offline from BHU Campus. The incomplete application form will not be accepted. Separate application forms are required to be submitted for different streams for Class 11 if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one stream. To apply for SET 2021 candidate has to follow these steps:

• STEP 1: The first step to fill the application form is to register on the entrance test portal of BHU. 
• STEP 2: Fill the online Application form -The candidate will have to provide their name, category, class appeared for, parents name and qualifying exam details on the admission form. Here the candidate will also have to Upload the Scanned copy of: 
  • Photograph of the candidate 
  • Signature of Candidate.
  • The online portal will provide information regarding the size of the photograph and signature; the candidates will have to keep a scanned version of it ready for submission.
  • Once all the details are given, the candidates can click on the confirm button, and he/she will be provided payment options for the application fee. 
• STEP 3: Pay Application Fee: Candidate can deposit the application fee in one of the following ways:
  • Online payment through credit/debit card/net banking will be accepted against the application.
  • Candidates can also pay the application fee through Online Generated Bank Challan and deposit the challan along with the fee at any nearby HDFC branch.
  • The application will be treated successfully only when the candidate has made the payment. 
• STEP 4: Take a printout of Online filled up BHU SET application form for future reference. All the candidates are required to take a photocopy of the application form and the payment acknowledgement for the future selection process.

Candidate need not send the printout of the application to the University. After providing all the necessary details required in the application form, the candidates will have to submit the application form online. 

Rejection of the BHU SET 2021 Application Form: The application form will be rejected if the candidate fails to make the payment. If the University finds that the candidate is not eligible for admission. 

BHU SET 2021 Admit Card

BHU SET Admit Card will be available to download on the official website of BHU SET from 05 May 2021 onwards. The admit card will also be emailed to the candidate on their registered E-Mail. Also, SMS alert about the admit card will also be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number. There will be no postal dispatch of the admit card.

After downloading the admit card candidate must affix the same passport size photograph that has been used on the application form.

• If candidates are unable to download the admit card, they must inform a week before the entrance test on the office phone number of the school. The candidate must carefully examine the Admit card and report immediately if there are any discrepancies on this number 0542-2450549.
• Test date and venue details would be printed on the admit card.
• The admit card will be required at the time of counselling.

BHU SET Result 2021, Selection Process

The results for BHU SET will be declared by 10 July 2021 followed by that a counselling session will commence on the stipulated dates. Candidates who have scored a minimum of 33% in the BHU SET will only be considered. This criterion applies to the sons/daughters of BHU staff. The candidates are appearing for class 6, 9 and 11; the candidates will have to come for counselling. The candidates applying for class 11 will have to exercise their choice immediately on the day of the counselling.

• There will be no separate letter sent to the candidates for counselling.
• The merit list will be declared, and the candidates will have to ensure that their name is there on the merit list.

SET 2021 Exam Pattern

BHU SET Syllabus 

Class 6: Entrance test will be of class 5 standard with questions from English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science and General Science.

Class 9: The entrance exam will be of class 8 standard. The questions will be from English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science and General Science.

Class 11: The entrance exam will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for class 10.

• For Maths Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Gen. Studies
• For Biology Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Gen. Studies
• For Commerce and Arts Group: English, Hindi, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, General Maths and General Studies

Note For Class 11 Candidates
25% of seats in each stream in class 11 in the Central Hindu Boys’ School are reserved for candidates who compete through the School Entrance Test (SET), In addition to 25% seats, 50* seats are reserved for the Maths group only for external candidates except for BHU Employee category through SET.
