AMD Internship 2017 program is for the students who are studying in the final year of MSc / M. Tech / MSc Tech from any recognised university or institutions in India. Atomic Minerals Directorate (AMD) for Exploration and Research offers AMD Internship 2017 with an aim to encourage the students who are studying in post-graduation to take short-term project work in priority areas of Uranium exploration. The students who have a minimum of 4 weeks of fieldwork project will be eligible for AMD Internship 2017. The candidates selected for the AMD Internship 2017 will be awarded Rs 5,000.

The eligible students can apply for AMD Internship 2017 through offline mode. The candidates can download the application form by following the link given on this page. The desired candidates can apply for the AMD Internship 2017 only through offline mode. The filled application form should be submitted by post or email through Head of the Department or Dean of the institution where the student is currently studying. The application form must be submitted latest by 31 December 2017.
The candidates who are applying for AMD Internship 2017 will be selected by the AMD. All the application submitted by the students will be evaluated and approved on the basis of following:
After approval, intimation will be sent to the applicant through his / her head of the department. The project work will be carried out after approval by the students at a period of time which is suitable to the institution.
Scope: The candidates will have to submit a report to the concerned university/institution leading to the award of the postgraduate degree. The program will be operative in all the 7 regions of AMD at New Delhi, Bangalore, Shillong, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Nagpur, and Hyderabad and also in the sectional headquarters. On satisfactory completion of the project work, AMD will honour the students with a certificate.
A number of short-term project topics will be identified by the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD) on the basis of priorities in uranium exploration and research. The list of preferred project topics can be seen on the AMD’s website and the candidates will have to choose one of the listed topics. If the concerned university/institution has suggested other topic on the preferred list will also be considered on the relevance of the work to AMD.
The minimum duration of the project work will be 8 weeks. A minimum of 4 weeks will be devoted to the field oriented [project work and an additional minimum of 4 weeks for laboratory investigations.
The candidates will have to submit a project/dissertation report to the university/institution after completing the project work. The students and the universities will have to follow the AMD’s Project Report Manual of Style and guideline for preparation of the report. A soft copy of the completed report has to be submitted in PDF format as a single file.
