About Advance to Australia a India Schools Video Competition 2017
Advance to Australia – India Schools Video Competition 2017 is being organised by Cambridge English Language Assessment and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Students from class 7 to 11 can register for India Schools Video Competition 2017, through their schools and make a 3 minutes video on the following themes:
- Earth Sciences: The precious balance of life on Earth
- Story-telling through Dance
- Nanotechnology: Creating futuristic technology
- Construction Management: Dreams to reality - managing construction for better, faster, cheaper buildings and bridges
- Aerospace: An exploration of space through robotics.
The students will also get a chance to be a part of the series of Road Shows being organised in order to familiarise and educate students about basics of Video making by experts from Australia.
By participating in the competition students will have the following benefits:
- Students will get a chance to enhance their English Language Skills.
- Participants will get hands-on experience of short-film making.
- A chance to experience Australian University life by being a part of Virtual Lectures.
- The winners of the completion will visit Australia on an all-expense paid educational trip.
- During the trip, winners will get a chance to know the Universities which was supporting the Theme in which they participated.

- Nationality: The participant of his competition needs to be citizens of India.
- Academic Qualification: The students participating in the Video Competition should be studying in class 7 to 11.
- Educational Board: The competition is being organised by Government of Australia and thus the competition is open for participants from IGCSE, IB, CBSE, ICSE, and State Boards.

Advance to Australia a India Schools Video Competition 2017 Reward
Each winning team will receive return flights from India to Australia for two students and one accompanying teacher. Accommodation, food and a study course are also included.
- The winners for the best video on Earth Sciences will receive a study visit hosted by Australian National University.
- The winners for the best video on Story-telling through Dance will receive a study visit hosted by Macquarie University.
- The winners for the best video on Nanotechnology will receive a study visit hosted by RMIT
- The winners for the best video on Construction Management will receive a study visit hosted by the University of Southern Queensland.
- The winners for the best video on Aerospace will receive a study visit hosted by the University of Sydney.
- The competition is organised by Cambridge English Language Assessment and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Travel is sponsored by Allianz, Urbanest and Credila.
Advance to Australia a India Schools Video Competition 2017 Application form and Process
The application process of Advance to Australia – India Schools Video Competition is online and needs to be completed by schools; individual students are not allowed to apply for the competition. The details of the application process are as follow:
- Application Form: The applications for the competition are to be made using the online form available at the official website of the Advance to Australia – India Schools Video Competition.
- Participation:
- The students interested in participating in the competition are required to register through their school.
- A school can nominate one team for each theme and one team can have maximum 2 members.
- Specifications of Video:
- Theme: The participants are required to make a video related to any of the 5 categories mentioned below:
- Earth Sciences: The precious balance of life on Earth
- Story-telling through Dance
- Nanotechnology: Creating futuristic technology
- Construction Management: Dreams to reality - managing construction for better, faster, cheaper buildings and bridges
- Aerospace: An exploration of space through robotics
Duration: 3 minutes
Language: English
Submission: The submission of the video needs to be done by respective school and to complete the submission, the videos are to be uploaded on YouTube and the YouTube links are to be shared with the organisers to complete the submission.
Advance to Australia a India Schools Video Competition 2017 Selection Process
The result of the Advance to Australia – India Schools Video Competition 2017 will be declared on 20 April 2017. The winners will fly to Australia sometime between April & July 2017.
Road Show Schedule: The participants can be a part of the roadshows being organised to learn more about making videos or to develop their video making skills. The schedule of Roadshows in different cities is as follow:
