NEET 2018: Hon'ble High Court, Delhi on 5 March 2018 has permitted the Open School and Private Students to appear in The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG which is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study any graduate medical course (MBBS), dental course (BDS) or postgraduate course (MD / MS) in government. Earlier, MCI had barred the Open School and Private candidates from the admission in MBBS/BDS colleges across the country and abroad. But now the decision has been altered and the official Notification from CBSE confirms the same.
NEET 2018: Open School Students Are Not Eligible to Apply (Previous News)
NIOS is an open and distance learning school in India, who serves approximately 350000 students annually which make him one of the largest open schooling systems in the world. It works under Union Government of India and established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The previous year data shows more than 2 lakhs students register with NIOS every year and around 3000 students applied for NEET in the year 2017 and 864 has qualified the test same year.
