JEE Main Cut Off 2017 has been released and the stampede to grab the best-suited seats have started among the lot of 11,98,989 students who have appeared in the JEE Main Exam, however, Only 2,20,000 candidates will be qualified to appear for JEE Advanced Exam. This year the Expected cutoffs were higher rather than the Real cut-offs, Earlier the JEE Main Cut-offs for the general category was always above 100 Marks but this year its was stopped at 81 Marks only. Surprisingly, The cutoffs were on the lower side this year and a decent decrease in the marks can be seen if compared to the JEE Main Cut Offs from the previous years' marks. It may be a moment of relief for the PwD Candidates as they need to score only 1 Mark in JEE Main to be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2017 Exam. The cut off for General Category candidates is 81/360. Candidates appeared under the General Category and got marks greater than equal to 81 are qualified to sit in JEE Advanced.

The Top 2,20,000 students will be considered qualified for the JEE Advanced 2017. Applicants must be in the top 2,20,000 students which include the students from all categories and must have scored positive marks in JEE Mains 2017. The category-wise distribution of the top 2,20,000 students with their reservation allowance is defined in the table given below. 3% reservation is given directly to the PwD candidates from each of the categories horizontally. JEE Main 2017 Topper - JEE Main AIR Rank 1
This year the JEE Main 2017 Topper is from Udaipur, Rajasthan "Kalpit Veerwal" A student from Resonance Coaching Institute has crossed all the limits and have scored 360/360 Marks in the JEE Main Exam. Kalpit Veerwal got All India Rank (AIR 1) in JEE Main Exam 2017 and his class 12 results are awaited. He was also among the toppers of most prestigious scholarships of India that are KVPY Scholarship and NTSE Scholarship.
“It is a happy moment for me to be the topper in JEE Mains but I am taking it normally and focussing on JEE Advanced, which would be held next month,” the 17-year-old said.
