JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted in computerized mode. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, which is the conducting body of JEE Advance 2018, has announced that entire JEE Advance will be conducted in fully computerized mode from the next academic year. The test would be conducted for all the two lakh candidates together. Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has also announced the date of JEE Advanced 2018 exam date on its official website. Next year, JEE Advanced will be held on 20 May 2018 in 2 sessions.
JEE Advanced is the 2nd stage of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main. Top 220000 candidates who qualified in JEE main are eligible to appear in JEE advance.
JEE Advanced 2018 will in computerized mode - Highlights of the News
- Conducting JEE Advance in online mode (computerized mode) has been in demand since last few years. The Apex Body had decided that JEE (Advanced ) will be conducted in online mode from 2018. The release stated that "Further information regarding the examination will be provided by the JAB in due course.”
- Chairman of JAB, Bhaskar Ramamurthi said, “Now we are going online like the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). The test would be held for all the two lakh candidates together. We were not confident until now but we now have enough capacity to hold it simultaneously.”
- Till last year JEE Advanced was OMR Based Exam, in which the candidates have to mark their responses in the OMR Sheet. A note shared by the IIT Kanpur on the official website, which says that the decisions made by JAB 2018 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2018.

7 zonal IITs will be conducting JEE Advance 2018 as per the guidelines of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). IIT Kanpur, which is the main conducting body of JEE Advance 2018 has announced that JEE Advance 2018 will be conducted on 20 May 2018. The complete schedule of JEE Advance 2018 is not released by the conducting body yet. However, JEE Advance 2018 registration is expected to be begin by the end of April 2018.
