Inspire Scholarship Result 2018-19 (Provisional List) has been declared on 26 June 2019. Department of Science and Technology (DST) has declared the list of selected candidates. Note: Increase in the number of scholarship - The Standing Committee suggested using 12,000 as the available total number of scholarships instead of 10000. A notification was released recently which stated an increase in the number of scholarship but this would be applicable from next year result of Inspire scholarship.

Important points related to Inspire Scholarship Result
The opening of Bank account
- The scholars are required to open a regular Bank Account within India at any branch of State Bank of India only on own name. However, the opening of Joint A/c may be allowed only in case of Minor Scholars as under Guardian.
- The scholars have to submit the account details in the specified format along with the self-attested photocopy of the front page of Bank Passbook within 120 days of this offer.
- The scholarship would be provided directly to the bank account through the State Bank of India (SBI). To facilitates the transfer of scholarship to the bank account of scholars.
- Link your SBI Account to the Aadhar Number.
Transfer of Inspire Scholarship Amount
- To facilitate the transfer of Scholarship to the bank account, the candidates are required to open a normal Savings Bank Account in the name of candidate only at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) in the country having no limit of cash transfer
- Please note that joint account or account in Banks other than SBI will not be accepted. Therefore, the candidates are advised to please open the bank account in the SBI account only.
- Scholars are advised to submit their yearly Mark-sheets and performance related documents within two months of the announcement of the results to facilitate the payment of scholarship by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) Inspire.
Inspire Scholarship Selection List Basis
Inspire Scholarship Result has been declared after taking these points into consideration:
- The selection is based on a keen evaluation of each application as per the eligibility criteria.
- For each board, the final list will consist of actual top 1% Cut off of Class 12 examination.
- In case, the eligible applications in the particular year are more than 10,000 then the selection will be done on the basis of Board inclusive model within the available number of Scholarships in that year.
The evaluation of the application which has done by the department on the basis of some important criteria. Each application was evaluated within the norms of INSPIRE – SHE which are as follows:
- Complete Application with all correct documents
- Within Top 1% of respective Board at +2 examination
- Pursuing Basic or Natural Science course (as listed in the List of 18 subjects) in UG level
at any recognised College or University in the country.

Top Reasons for Rejection for the Scholarship
The list of the candidates who have been rejected by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) is given above. Some applications get rejected every year due to the below -mentioned reasons:
- Applications without Endorsement Certificate signed by the Head of the Institution
- Endorsement Form Uploaded is not Proper
- The percentage of marks in Class 12 is less than the cut off marks.
- Incomplete Applications
- The Subjects or Course selected by the candidate is beyond the scope of INSPIRE-SHE.
- The applicant has passed out Class 12 but not in 2018
- Not Entitled for the scholarship
- Documents Uploaded of Other Person

Inspire Scholarship Selected Candidates 2015-16 - Check Here
Inspire Scholarship 2015 result was released on 21 January 2017. Total 16,218 students who got selected for the Inspire Scholarship. The name of the candidates is given along with the IVR No/Reg.No of the candidates. The students can check the result from the list given below.
The department received a total of 35,999 Applications for Inspire Scholarship and of them, 27,466 applications were found eligible for the scholarship.

Inspire Scholarship Result (2014)
There were total 12,929 students offered Inspire Scholarship for the last year. The scholarship awarded on the merit basis and there is no separate test for awarding the scholarship. The students who are selected for the Inspire Scholarship will receive Rs. 80,000 per year for the applicants pursuing Bachelor level education in the Natural & Basic sciences.

The Selected candidates will be supported for a maximum period of five years starting from a 1-year course in B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons), BS and integrated course leading to M.S. or M.Sc. or till completion of the course, whichever is earlier.
