IIM CAP 2018: IIM Rohtak will Conduct Common Admission Process for 9 IIMs

IIM Rohtak will conduct Common Admission Process for 9 IIMs for the academic session 2018-20. Out of 13 new IIMs, only 9 will participate in Common Admission Process (CAP) conducted by IIM Rohtak. Last year also, IIM Rohtak was the conducting body for CAP, this is the second time that it has gained the same responsibility. The 9 participating IIMs are:

Common Admission Process (CAP) 2018

The main aim of conducting Common Admission process was to save money and resources for the IIMs as well as for the candidates. In this program, the institutions conduct common selection process including Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The selection process takes place as follows:

• All the participating IIMs have the right to shortlist and select candidates and the selection will be based on their individual admission criteria.

• First, the candidates have to go through a written test in which they will be tested for their writing skills by experts. After this Written Ability Test (WAT), candidates will be called for the Personal Interview round.

• The process of selection will start in mid-February with the WAT and PI. The end of the process will take place in March 2018.

•  After the CAT results will be declared the exact dates of WAT and PI will be announced and put in public domain.

• All the major cities in which CAP will be conducted are New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Chennai

• This year, 2.31 lakh candidates registered for CAT, out of whom only 3300 will get into the IIMs in 2018. The rest will not make into IIMs but can get other colleges.
