CAT Mock Test released by IIM for CAT 2017 aspirants. The main exam will be held on 26th November 2017. The Mock test is available at the official website under “Quick Tour” option whose link is also available on this page below. Candidates can select the Mock test option from there and then start the test. First, it will show all the general instructions of the exam and then proceed further after accepting the terms and conditions.
CAT (Common Admission Test) is conducted by IIM (Indian Institute of Management) for the admission into top Management Institutes. The CAT mock test contains 100 questions divided into three sections based on the syllabus for CAT 2017. The mock test will be a complete guide to the exam pattern, syllabus and type of questions. By giving these mock tests candidates can be sure of their time management, difficulty level and how to use the navigation keys in the exam hall.
CAT Mock Test 2017 - Section Wise Composition
The mock test will be based on the same pattern as the CAT 2017 exam and will be Computer Based Test (CBT). So, candidates should carefully go through the pattern and the changes that occurred in the content from previous year’s format. The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes. However, some relaxation is given to PwD candidates.

Scoring Pattern in CAT Mock test
The Questions Status for practising the mock test and this would be the same for the CAT Exam. The candidate should understand it carefully so that on the final day of the exam the candidates are not confused at all.
- For every correct answer candidates will get 3 marks.
- For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
- There will be no negative marking for 19 Non MCQ questions
CAT 2017 Mock Test will improve their confidence and exam attempting skills of the candidates. It will also improve the candidates’ time management skills and ability to tackle the problems. It is going to help in determining what percentile score you would get in the exam hall. And as it is said, “Practice makes a man perfect”. So, by solving the same type of questions again and again it will increase the probability of keeping that note in mind for a longer time.
There will be 19 no penalty questions, as given in the official Mock test for CAT 2017. These questions will not be based on the MCQ format, where candidates will have to answer those questions in the space provided on the computer screen. And no negative marking will be there for such questions.
