BHU School Board chaired by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor has decided not to conduct BHU SET 2021 to keep children safe due to the ongoing pandemic. Subsequently, the board has decided that there will be a new admission process. Earlier the admission to Class 6,9 and 11 was based on the entrance test that was conducted in various cities across India.
BHU School Admission Process for Class 6 and 9
The admission to classes 6 and 9 will be based on the e-lottery system. The steps for the e-lottery for BHU school admission are as follows.
- E-Lottery for BHU employee ward applicants will be drawn against 50% of the total seats which will further be categorized as 3% OH (horizontally), 7.5% for ST, 15% for SC, 27% for OBC-NCL & Unreserved.
The remaining seats will be allotted by E-Lottery according to the following priority sequence:
- First Lot for Differently Abled students: 3% of the seats will be allocated to Differently Abled [Divyang (OH)] applicants (horizontally).
- Second lot for Reserved category students: 7.5% of the seats will be allocated to ST candidates, 15% of the seats will be allocated to SC candidates. Note: Vacant SC seats can be filled by ST applicants and vice-versa and 27% of the seats will be allocated to OBC-NCL candidates.
- Third lot for general/ unreserved applicants: After the second lot, the remaining seats will be allocated to unreserved applicants.
A separate Waiting list of each lot will also be prepared.
BHU School Admission Process for Class 11
The admission in class 11 will be made on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the class 10 examination of all school boards. The admission portal will open on 17 August 2021 and will close on 26 August 2021.

E-lottery dates for BHU School Admission
The E-lottery for admission to Class 6 and 9 (both CHBS & CHGS) is scheduled to be
held on 25 August 2021(Wednesday). Result of E-lottery will be uploaded on 26 August (Thursday). The result will be available online.
