SNAP Reservation 2019 policy for SNAP exam is defined according to the regulations and guidelines of University Grants Commission (UGC). All the associated colleges of Symbiosis International University (SIU) also follow the same SNAP Reservation 2019 policy except SIMS (Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies) as it has its separate policy. SNAP 2019 is going to be conducted in the third week of December 2018 and its registration will start in the second week of August 2018. SNAP Reservation 2019 - SNAP Dates

Below are the SNAP Dates 2019 that need to be noted down by the candidates:

SNAP Reservation 2019 Policy

SNAP conducting authority, Symbiosis International University (SIU) has divided SNAP Reservation policy into two sections:

Section A – Within Sanctioned Intake:

• SC (Scheduled Caste) – 15% Reserved Seats
• ST (Scheduled Tribe) – 7.5% Reserved Seats
• DA (Differently Abled) – 3% Reserved Seats

Section B – Over & Above Intake

• Kashmiri Migrants – Two Seats Per Program
• International Candidates – 15% Reserved Seats

The SNAP 2019 exam will be conducted in the third week of December 2018. As per the SNAP Reservation 2019 policy, the candidates who are applying under any of the reserved categories like SC, ST, differently abled, Kashmiri migrants or international candidates are mandatorily required to submit the certificate issued by the particular competent authority.

In case, any candidate who falls under more than one category, then they will have to select any one category. For example, if the candidate belongs to SC category as well as DA category, then they will be required to select either SC category or DA category while filling the SNAP Application Form 2019.

Differently Abled Category

Symbiosis International University has made provision of reserving 3% seats for the candidates who belongs to DAC (Differently Abled Category) in all the institutes of SIU. Below are the types of disabilities that covered under Differently Abled Category:

• Vision Impairment
• Hearing Impairment
• Mental Retardation  
• Locomotors Disabilities
• Dyslexia
• Multiple Disabilities

In case, the candidates incorrectly mentioned their category during the SNAP Registration, so they can contact the conducting authority through email for the correction.

Note: As per the SNAP Reservation 2019, if any of the information related to reserved category found incorrect, then the authority has the full right to cancel the SNAP candidature of the candidates.

SNAP Reservation 2019 Policy for SIMS (Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies)

Seats Reservation within the intake:

• Defense Category – (General): 80% seats are reserved for the dependents of the Defense Personnel as per merit.
• Defence Category – (Special): 10% seats are reserved for the dependents for the Defense Personnel who killed or got disabled with more than 50% disabilities in action such as war, warlike operation, or counter-insurgency as per merit.
• Open Category – 10% seats are reserved for the civilian candidates under open or industry category in which the candidates are sponsored or recommended by the industry as per merit.

*Defense Personnel are those who are serving or retired from Air Force, Army, or Navy and fall into the category of ex-servicemen.

Seats Reservation within over & above intake:

The Armed Forces Officers who are on study leave granted by their particular headquarters are automatically granted for the admission subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
