The application process for the Indian Airforce Airmen Selection will begin from 3 July 2018. The candidates are suggested to fill the form through online mode only. The candidates are suggested to ensure their eligibility before filling up the application form. The last date to fill the application form is 24 July 2018. Hence, all the students are suggested to fill out the form on or before the due date. • Examination Fee - There is no application fee for the Airmen selection, however, the candidates have to make the payment of examination of Rs. 250. The fee can be paid via online and offline mode.

Steps to fill the Airmen Selection Application Form 2018

Many of the students while filling up the form come across the situation of confusion and end up making mistakes in the form. Hence, in order to elude such confusion, the candidates are suggested to go through the steps mentioned below which will help them to understand how the application form should be filled.

STEP 1 - Registration

To fill the form, the candidates first have to register on the official website of Indian Air Force Airmen Selection by following the link given on this page (the link to apply online will be available soon). There, the candidates have to provide their valid Email Id and Mobile number for successful registration.

STEP 2 - Filling up the Application Form

After online registration, the applicants have to fill the application form with their correct and accurate details, if any information is found to be incorrect on verification then the candidature will be considered disqualified. It is highly recommended to fill the IAF Registration form for Airmen Intake very carefully.

STEP 3 - Payment of Examination Fee

The candidates can make payment of the examination fee using Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/ Internet Banking through the online payment gateway. The applicants can also make payment using demand draft.  After the successful filling up of the application form and making payment of the examination fee the applicants have to submit it. 

STEP 4 - Uploading Documents

While filling the online application form, candidates need to upload some documents like photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression. The detail specifications of the documents are given on this page below. The candidates should go through same before uploading documents.

Documents to be uploaded along with Airmen Selection Application Form 2018

• Photograph: Candidates need to upload a passport size colour photograph of size 10 KB to 50 KB (front portrait in the light background without headgear except for Sikhs) recent (taken not before June 2018).
  • The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a blank slate in front of his chest with his Name and Date of Photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.
• Signature: Candidates need to provide their signature image. The size of the Signature image should be from 10 KB to 50 KB. Candidate’s parents (Father/ Mother/ Guardian) signature image (if the candidate is below 18 years from the date of filling the online application).
• Thumb Impression: Candidates need to provide the left-hand thumb impression's image with size varying from 10 KB to 50 KB.

Other Documents to be Uploaded along with Airmen Selection Application Form 2018

The candidates while filling the online application form for Indian Air Force Airmen Selection 2018 for 01/2019 batch have to upload some other documents also. The list of other documents is as follows:

• Class 10th/ Matriculation passing certificate
• Intermediate/ 10+2 or equivalent mark sheet/mark sheets (if applying on the basis of 12th/ intermediate or equivalent educational qualifications)
• 3 Yrs Engineering Diploma Final Year Mark sheet (if applying on the basis of 3 Yrs Engineering Diploma from a Govt. recognised polytechnic in the prescribed stream.
• The mark sheet indicating marks in English subject (if applying on the basis of 3 Yrs Engineering Diploma qualification) in the diploma or 12th/10th if English is not a subject in Diploma.

 Airmen Selection Application Form Submission

The candidates in order to complete the application filling procedure need to submit the application form. Before the final submission of the application form, the candidates are suggested to check the details filled by them are correct in all aspect. After submitting the application form, the candidates can take the printout of the application form for future reference. The candidates don’t need to send it by the post from this year.

Documents required at the Airmen Selection Examination Centre

• Colour print out of Admit Card
• Colour Print out of duly filled application form downloaded on completion of online registration
• HB Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Glue stick, Stapler and Black/Blue Ball Point Pen for writing
• Ten copies of unattested recent (which was used for the online application registration) passport size colour photograph
• Original and four self-attested photocopies of Matriculation Passing Certificate (required for verification of Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name and his Date of Birth)
• Original and four self-attested photocopies of Matriculation Marks Sheet (only applicable for three years Diploma Course holders when English is not a subject in Diploma Course)
• Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent Examination Passing Certificate and Marks Sheet OR Original and four self-attested photocopies of Three years Diploma Course Passing Certificate and Marks Sheets of all semesters
• Certificate for SOAFP (Son of Air Force Personnel), the certificate for sons of serving/retired/deceased Air Force civilian employees paid out of defence estimates are to be downloaded as the case may be, from the download section of CASB web portal and brought along while reporting for phase –II of the examination
• For Candidates discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Any other Government Organisation- Original and four Self-attested photocopies of Discharge Certificate (as issued from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Government Organisation)
• NOC in original and 4 self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organization (if applicable)
• Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate (if applicable)
