HPU MBBS BDS Counselling 2017 - Himachal Pradesh MBBS/ BDS Second Round Counselling will hold on 19 and 20 August 2017. Candidates will be selected for admission in MBBS BDS course of Himachal Pradesh University on the basis of merit/rank of NEET-UG-2017 by the Centralised Counselling Committee. Candidates who want to get admission in the MBBS BDS program of Himachal Pradesh University must clear the NEET entrance examination. The merit list will be prepared after the declaration of NEET result. Those candidates whose name listed in the merit list will be called for HPU MBBS/ BDS counselling process. The admission process in the Govt. Medical/Dental colleges including Private Medical/ Dental Colleges (State & Management Quota) will be completed within the prescribed schedule through a Counselling Committee constituted by the Government of Himachal Pradesh under the Chairmanship of the Director Medical Education & Research, H.P. Shimla-9.

HPU MBBS BDS Counselling 2017 will be conducted on the basis of All India Merit ranking of NEET-UG-2017. The qualified candidates who have submitted their application form online only complete in all respects and have obtained the print out of confirmation copy. Successful candidates will get admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges including Private un-aided Medical/Dental Colleges. There are 85% and 50% seats under State Quota and Management Quota seats in Private Un-aided Medical/Dental Colleges. Documents required to submit at the time of counselling

• Admit Card issued by the CBSE for NEET- UG-2017
• Details marks card of NEET-UG-2017 with merit ranks
• A certificate of having passed the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or its equivalent examination
• Detail marks sheet of 10+2 or its equivalent examination.
• A certificate of good conduct/character from the Principal of the School/College where the candidate studied last, followed by a separate latest Character Certificate from the Tehsildar/SubDivisional Magistrate of the area concerned. In the case of candidates already admitted in BDS course in H.P. Govt. Dental College, Shimla or any other private dental college of the State, they shall have to produce character-cum NOC from the Principal of the concerned College, failing which their admission can be withheld.
• A certificate of having passed the Primary (in case of backward Area Category) School examination from the recognised institution showing the place of the institution located, if applicable.
• A copy of Matriculation/Higher Secondary Part-I/ Indian School Certificate showing the date of birth. No other certificate in respect of the date of birth will be entertained.
• Copies of certificates of having passed the Middle/Matric/+1/+2 or its equivalent examinations from the recognised Schools showing therein the place of School situated for determining the condition of passing two exams from the schools) situated in the State of H.P. as per eligibility criteria of the prospectus, as applicable. In case the candidate has not passed his/her 8th & +1 examinations from the recognised Boards, he/she may obtain the certificate to this effect from the Principal of the concerned School(s).
• A certificate of being a Bonafide Resident of Himachal Pradesh from the SubDivisional Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/Tehsildar of the area concerned only to which the father/guardian of the candidate belongs, on the prescribed proforma printed and attached in the prospectus

HP MBBS BDS Counselling Schedule - First Round

After the declaration of Merit List, the counselling process will begin. Those candidates whose names listed in the merit list will be called for the counselling process. There will be a counselling system to alot the available seats in order of merit-cum-choice of the candidates by personal appearance as per combined as well as category-wise merit list of the qualified candidates drawn by the H.P. University on the basis of All India merit of NEET-UG-2017.

Himachal Pradesh University will conduct the second round of counselling on 19 and 20 August 2017 for filling up the vacant seats of MBBS/ BDS course State/Management Quota in all Government Medical/Dental Colleges. The list is based upon the first round of counselling.

HPU MBBS BDS Counselling Schedule – Second & MOP Up Round

STEP 1: Candidates of the waiting list as well as; candidates who required for shifting from one college to another on the basis of attending the first round of counselling as per their option of the course/ college will be entitled to attending the 2nd round of counselling.

STEP 2: Candidates will attend the second round of counselling based on the subject to availability of seats for filling up vacant/dropout seats in order of merit in Govt. Medical/Dental colleges including Private Medical/Dental colleges, as the case, may be.

STEP 3: List of such candidates will be uploaded on the University website: www.hpuniv.nic.in, www.hpuniv.in or www.admissions.hpushimla.in. Candidates are advised to appear in the person in the subsequent round of counselling.

STEP 4: After conducting the 2 nd round of counselling, the vacant/dropout/casual vacancies, if any, shall be filled up in order of merit-cum choice of the college/course from the wait listed candidates or by way of shifting, as the case, may be.

STEP 5: The shifting from one college to another will be applied strictly in order of merit-cum-choice of the course/college as per provision of the prospectus. Lists of such candidates be uploaded on the University Website.

The merit list will be prepared by the H.P. University on the basis of All India NEET-UG-2017 entrance examination. Candidates who qualified this entrance exam have to submit their application form online. The merit list will be available on the official website of the University or click on the following link to view the merit list. The candidates are advised to check their new merit rank and attend the counselling as per schedule to be notified with the merit list separately.
