SNAP Exam Pattern 2018 has been announced by the Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Through SNAP 2018 exam pattern, candidates will be able to understand the exam structure. It is necessary for aspirants to become familiar with the SNAP exam pattern to know to the marking scheme of SNAP 2018. For the first time, Symbiosis has introduced Special Questions in the question booklet and there will be 20 in total.
As per the SNAP exam pattern 2018, the test will be held in a computer based test. SNAP 2018 is scheduled to be held on 16 December 2018. The duration of the test is 2 hours and there will be a total of 130 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will contain four options and for every correct attempt, 1 mark will be allotted while special questions will carry 2 marks. What is new in SNAP Exam Pattern 2018?
This year, Symbiosis has made some changes in the SNAP exam pattern 2018. The latest changes in SNAP 2018 exam pattern are as follows -
- Decrease in the total number of questions i.e. until last year, there were 150 Multiple Choice Question but this year, there are 130 in total
- Introduction of Special Questions. There will be a total of 20 SNAP special questions, and each will carry 2 marks.
- To answer these SNAP 2018 special questions, candidates are required to type the answer through the virtual keyboard
- The SNAP syllabus remains the same as that of the previous year, only the distribution of questions have changed

SNAP Test Pattern/Paper Pattern Normal Questions
SNAP Test Pattern will have two types of questions, which are Normal Questions and Special Questions. Normal Questions are the Multiple choice questions and will have four options to choose from. For each correct attempt, 1 mark will be allotted while 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong attempts. Each section of SNAP 2018 question booklet will contain 30 Normal Questions while Current Affairs will carry on 20. Some points about SNAP Exam Pattern regarding normal questions are -

- SNAP Normal Question Marks: 1 marks for right answer
- SNAP Normal Question Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer
SNAP Test Pattern/Paper Pattern Special Questions
Symbiosis has introduced the SNAP Special Questions for the first time. As per the SNAP exam pattern, these questions can be answered by typing the answers through the virtual keyboard. There will be a total of 20 SNAP special questions and each correction attempt will contain 2 marks. The negative marking for wrong attempts is 25% of the total marks. Each section of SNAP 2018 will contain 5 Special Questions at least. These questions though seem scoring are expected to be tougher than the SNAP normal questions.

- SNAP Special Question Negative Marking: 0.5 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer
SNAP Exam Pattern and Syllabus - Overall Analysis
Earlier the SNAP Exam was conducted in pen and paper-based mode. From 2017, SNAP Exam was changed to an online computer-based test. SNAP 2018 will be conducted in a computer-based mode. SNAP Exam Pattern 2018 will consist of 110 Normal MCQs in overall four sections including General English – Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, & Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative – Data Interpretation, & Data Sufficiency, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs. Also, each section of SNAP 2018, there will also carry 5 SNAP special questions.

Since the SNAP exam pattern is similar to that of CAT 2018, management aspirants who have applied or will apply for both the test can synchronise the preparation.
