HP CET Result 2018 is declared on 28 May 2018. The exam for HPCET was held on 13 May 2018. The candidates who appeared in the exam can now check the result of HP CET here on this page. Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has already released the answer key of HPCET. The candidates can check their result by providing either their name or roll number. The candidates should know that the admission for 50% of the seats to various UG engineering programmes is based on HPCET Result 2018. HPCET 2018 is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Hamirpur for admission into its private and unaided engineering colleges. The candidates will be called for the HPCET counselling and seat allotment session based on marks secured in HPCET or JEE Main. The candidate can also get the HPCET Result 2018 on the notice board. HPCET Result 2018 - Check Online
HPCET Result 2018 has been declared by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University. HPCET result has been declared on 28 May 2018. The candidates who appeared in the exam can check their result on this page. The link to check the HPCET Result for the year 2018 is given on this page. The candidates can check the result of HPCET by providing their roll number and date of birth (D-O-B).

Unable to Check/ Download Result- The candidates will be able to download their result by entering their Roll number and Date of Birth. However, if any candidates are not able to download the HPCET Result 2018, they can call or write to the exam conduct committee to get the result.
HPCET Result Late for Candidates
The candidate whose result will be displayed as RL (Result Late) are required to submit the proof of their subject studied at 10+2 Level either personally in University or through email id coehimtu@gmail.com on or before the end of May 2018. After receiving their proof their result would be declared and they will be eligible for counselling. The candidates who do not submit the documents on time, their result would not be declared.
HPCET 2018 Merit List
The merit list of HPCET 2018 will be soon prepared by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU). The merit list would be determined by aggregate marks/ rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance test. In case if there is any possibility of a tie in the event of the declaration of the merit list, the following methods would be adopted to resolve the tie.
For B.Tech/B.Pharma/B.Pharma (Ayurveda) - In case of a Tie
- If two applicants have the same HPCET 2018 aggregate marks, the candidate with higher marks in Physics will be ranked above.
- If the marks in Physics are same, then higher marks in Chemistry would break the tie.
- If the marks in Physics and Chemistry are same, then the marks in the third subject would be eventually same. In such a case applicant‘s date of birth will be considered. Elder candidate gets the benefit of being ranked above.
HPCET Counselling 2018 After Result
After the declaration of result, the HPCET counselling will be conducted. The counselling is expected to start from the first week of June 2018 separately for JEE Main 2018 and HPCET 2018 qualified candidates. HPCET Counselling would be conducted through online mode only. Candidates who qualify in HPCET 2018 will be called for counselling and Allotment of seats. The complete counselling schedule of HPCET is yet to be released by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU).
Admission Criteria for B.Tech in HPCET
Admission to B.Tech seats in Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) will be:
- By JEE Main 2018 merit/rank/score - For 50% of the total seats.
- By the merit of HPCET 2018 – For the remaining 50% of the total seats.
In case the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of JEE (Main) and HPCET, the remaining seats will be filled up by merit of 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized Board or University.
