ICAR Counselling 2019 Started - Seat Allotment, Documents, Result

ICAR Counselling 2019 for UG, PG, JRF programmes has started. The candidates have to register online for the ICAR Counselling 2019. Candidates found eligible for counselling will be sent Username and Password through email and/or SMS on the registered email ID/Mobile No. The result for ICAR written exam was announced by NTA on 17 July and the counselling will be conducted by ICAR. The students will have to register online for ICAR Counselling. Minimum prescribed marks for appearing in ICAR counselling will be decided by the competent authority i.e. DDF Agricultural Education. The ICAR Counselling Result will be announced after the registration is complete and the seat allotment has been done. The dates for ICAR counselling 2019 have been announced and the registration has started. The candidates have to register online and give the preference for the course and university. The online choice filling is important as the candidates will be given only one chance for choosing a course that is at the time of registration.

ICAR 2019 counselling rounds are held for admission to the UG, PG and PhD programmes of various ICAR colleges located across the country. Only the candidates who have qualified in the ICAR exam and have secured at least 50% marks (SC/ST/PC: 40% marks) are shortlisted for the ICAR counselling rounds. Students have to download ICAR Counselling Seat allotment letter, which will have the details regarding the allotted ICAR University and Reporting time for counselling.

The ICAR qualified candidates are required to register online for the ICAR counselling rounds. They are required to log in with their registration number and password into the login panel and fill in their choices. Only the candidates who have applied for the ICAR counselling rounds are eligible to take part in the counselling process. Last Opportunity to update the qualifying exam marks: The candidates are advised to visit ICAR website www.icar.org.in OR www.icarexam.net from 20 July 2019 (6:00 P.M. onwards) to 22 July 2019 (up to 6:00 P.M.) to view/update their qualifying examination marks/OGPA. The candidates who fail to update their qualifying examination marks will not be eligible to participate in the ICAR online counselling to be conducted by ICAR.

ICAR Counselling 2019 - Process for UG, PG and PhD

Candidates had to register to appear in the ICAR Counselling 2019 by paying the counselling fee of Rs 400 after the declaration of the ICAR Result 2019. A candidate who has not been declared/ notified as qualified for counselling, shall not be considered for admission to ICAR quota seats in any Agricultural University at any stage. Candidate should give his/her options for choice of the subject degree programme and University in order of preference and present the same at the time of online ICAR Counselling.

Steps for ICAR Counselling Registration 2019

• STEP 1: Candidates have to register for the online counselling by paying Rs 400 as the counselling fee using Credit Card/Debit Card or Net Banking
• STEP 2: Only the registered candidates will be able to log in to the counselling, and they need not visit the campus or any other venue as the counselling process is online only
• STEP 3: Details of available seat matrix (with reservation category), eligibility requirements, the process of Online counselling, helpline numbers, a parameter based Online search system for previous year admission cut-offs will be available on the home page of the portal. The qualified candidates will be permitted to make the choices of the course and the institutions from the given list at the time of counselling
• STEP 4: Only those courses and the institutions will be displayed to the candidates where he/she is eligible for the admission as per their scores in the ICAR 2019 entrance exam
• STEP 5: Candidate will be able to select the courses and university one by one in combination to select multiple choices for the courses. There will be provisions to add /modify/delete choices during the stipulated period. Further, provision for interchange/upward movement/ downward movement will also be available and permissible any number of times
• STEP 6: The candidates have to click the "save" button after confirming the choices of which they can take the printout as well. Candidates can update their choices any time before the last date and also before the locking up of the choices
• STEP 7: Now the locked choices of the candidates will be considered on the counselling day and the seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their merit and availability of the seats. The candidates will also be intimated by the SMS or Email about the course and University they are allotted in the Round 1 of ICAR Counselling
• STEP 8: Now the candidates will have to download the provisional allotment letter and the printout of the same is to be presented at the allotted University, where after the verification of the documents of the candidates and the university will issue the final admission letter online

ICAR Counselling Result 2019 - Round 1 Seat Allotment Result

 ICAR Counselling Seat Allotment Result will be announced on 1 August 2019. The candidates can view the result by logging into their ICAR Student Login account. They can see the ICAR Agriculture University that has been allotted to them by ICAR. The ICAR college allocation would be done by the University and not ICAR. If the student is selected Rs. 400 paid as ICAR counselling fee will be adjusted in the Tuition fee for the course.

 The candidates have to download Provisional Admission Recommendation Letter and report at the allotted University for Document Verification, Deposition of Course Fee and Issue of Admission Letter.

ICAR Counselling 2019 - Required Documents

The list of documents required for the ICAR counselling process has been released

1. Class 10 & 12 Mark sheet, Pass Certificates, Transfer Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate and Character Certificate from school last attended in Original.
2. Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate, in case not mentioned in Class 10 Certificate.
3. Original Category Certificate in case of SC, ST, OBC-NCL and General - EWS issued by competent authority of the government.
4. Medical Certificate in the case of Physically Challenged (PC) candidates issued by Medical Officer of any Government Hospital with a description of the kind and the degree of disability.
5. ICAR Admit Card, hard copy of ICAR Online Application Form and letter issued by the ICAR to qualified candidates related to admission.
6. Three recent and clear passport size colour photographs same as posted on the Application Form with name and date
7. Domicile certificate.
8. Aadhaar Card or 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID proof or passport or ration card or bank passbook or any other valid Govt. Identity proof.

Filling of Seats after Final Round of ICAR Counselling

In case there are seats vacant after the final round of the counselling process i.e. Round 3 of the counselling, those seats will be filled by the respective institutions on their own. Such vacant seats will not be covered under ICAR any longer. The vacant seats will automatically become the University seats and they are to be filled by the university. The schedule for this fourth round will be declared after conducting all the three rounds successfully. Till then, candidates can check the schedule for last year.
