G.B. Pant University Medical Standards

G.B. Pant University Medical Standards are subject to the medical and physical fitness test as per medical standards prescribed below. The medical fitness certificate must be obtained either from the Chief Medical Officer of a district or a Chief Medical Supdt. of Govt. Base Hospital. G.B.Pant University of Agriculture and technology Entrance Exam will be conducted in Pen and Paper Based Mode in June 2018. G.B. Pant University Medical Standards prescribed are as given below:

G.B. Pant University Medical Standards

General Requirement

The candidate should have a good general physique.
They should be free from any infectious or contagious disease.
They should be free from any physical or mental illness or defect likely to interfere with the training in the University.

Hearts and Lungs	No abnormality
Hernia, Hydrocele, Piles etc.	Presence of any of these is to be essentially corrected before joining
Vision	Normal Better Eye; 6/9 Worse Eye: 6/12 There should be no colour blindness for major colours.
Hearing	Normal. If there is any problem, it must be treated before joining.
Physically Handicapped/Disabled	The candidates having any one type of physical handicap/ disability given below are eligible to join.
Speech	There should be no major speech defects.

G.B. Pant University Medical Physically Handicapped/ Disabled

Given below is the list of various courses under the Physically Handicapped category in which the students with having disability 40% or above are eligible to take admission

One leg or hand defective	B.Sc.Ag. M.Sc.Ag. M.Sc. Agricultural Extension & Communication and Food Technology.
One leg (defective or missing)	Mechanical Electrical Electronics & Communication Computer Production Engineering Food Technology B.Sc. (Home Science), M.Tech. Design and Production Engineering, Thermal Science/Electrical Energy System and M.Sc. in Home Science.
One hand (defective or missing)	Civil Mechanical Production Engineering and B.Sc. Home Science, M.Tech. in Hydraulic Engineering Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering Structural Engineering/ Design and Production Engineering Thermal Science and M.Sc. Home Science.

Kindly Note: Candidates claiming for above benefit should submit along with application form a certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer of the District certifying the extent of Physical Handicap.
