TISS BAT 2018 Application Form

TISS BAT 2018 Application form can be filled online only for all the undergraduate courses and the candidates are required to fill the Common Application Form. Tata Institute of Social Science has released the admission notification regarding TISS BAT Application Form. It provides the desired candidate all the important information about the entrance exam, exam date, eligibility criteria, application process, and exam mode. The last date to apply for TISS BAT 2018 is 19 March 2018.

Part A of TISS BAT 2018 Entrance Exam will be conducted in Computer Based Mode and Part B in Pen and Paper based mode on 5 May 2018. Eligible candidates can apply in the following manner for the Entrance Test for TISS Tata Institute of Social Science 2018. Candidates have to apply online for TISS BAT Admission 2018 and make payment through Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net banking or through Bank Challan. Candidates are expected to apply through the E-application. In case the candidates do not have access to the internet or are from remote places, they can send a request letter for application form without the payment challan and stamped envelope. So that the department will look further for another option for such candidates. The complete details regarding this are given towards the end of the page.

TISS BAT 2018 Application Fees

There is no Application Fees Concession for SC, ST and OBC Non-Creamy whose income is more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs and more than Rs.1 lakh respectively.

Important Points of TISS BAT 2018 Application Form

• Follow the Instructions: Candidates have to enter the details in the application form as per the instructions are given next to each field.
• Use Authentic Email Id for Registration: Candidates have to enter their authentic email id. Candidates will receive an e-mail on the registered mail id with a link to set a password and access the application form.
• Always use the same Email Id and Password: Candidates are expected to use the same email id and password for the entire process till the completion of the admission process.
• There is an option to save the Application Form: Candidates also have the option either to fill the application form and complete the processes entirely at one go or fill partially and save the application form for completion before the due date.
• Only one Test Centre Preference: Candidates can give only one preference for one centre only in the online application Form.

• Do Not Submit Mulitple Applications: The candidates are suggested not to send the E-application multiple numbers of times as it might lead to disqualification.
• Do not send Do not send incomplete application forms and forms with inconsistent information as it might lead to rejection.
• Do not send the Application Form near to the due date because if received after the due date, it won’t be considered and the application fees paid will also not be refunded.
• Do not fail to appear for the written test or fail to join the programme if admitted because the Application Fees once paid will not be refunded.

Payment of TISS BAT 2018 Application Fee

When applying online, candidates will be directed to payment options page. Candidates can pay the TISS BAT 2018 Application Fees via two modes:

Mode 1: 'Cash' Payment at State Bank of India:

• If the candidate chose Cash mode, they have to download a challan from the 'Download Challan' tab.
• Further, they have to Deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of State Bank of India.
• The bank will return two copies of the challan copy (Student Copy and TISS Copy) with the bank’s seal, signature and journal number on it.
• Candidates have to then scan the 'TISS Copy' of the Challan, login back to the online application system and upload it.
• In this case of payment, the SBI will charge Rs. 50 as their processing fee, which has to be paid separately, and is not a part of the application fees.
• Applications of candidates who pay by cash will be accepted only after the Institute verifies the challan. The admit card will be accessible to the candidate after that.

Mode 2:  'Payment Gateway.'

The second method to make the payment of the application fee is through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking. The candidates need to make the payment only once.

TISS BAT 2018 Documents to be uploaded

• Photograph: Candidate has to upload the photo of these specifications:
  • The photograph should be a recent colour photograph taken against a plain background.
  • The photograph should show only candidate's face and shoulders.
  • The photograph should not have any other object or person in part or full. 
  • The photograph should have a good resolution and should be clear and not more than 2 MB in png, jpeg format.
• Certificates: Candidates who are eligible for the application form at concessional fee are required to upload their income and caste certificates.
  • Their application will be accepted upon verification of the certificates, and the admit card will be accessible to the candidate after that.

Application Submission 

The candidates need to complete the application form and have to click on the Submit button to make the final submission of the application form. In case the candidates do not have access to the internet or are from remote places then the candidates need to send the request for this.

The candidates need to send the request on a plain self-addressed envelope along with copies of Caste and Income Certificates attested by any School Headmaster OR a Principal of College OR a Gazetted Officer. Requests received without the above Certificates will be rejected, and no communication will be sent in this regard.

TISS BAT 2018 Test Cities
